I have called Howard Solicitor's about 10 minutes ago. He no longer works there!!
I have just realised these pratts Wolstenholmes have my title deeds
Does anyone know who they gave/sold our files to?A bad attitude is like a flat tyre: you are not going to get anywhere in life until you change it.

Wolstenholmes LLP is STILL trading and will continue to do so. It should also be noted that this firm has been here since 1818. For those ignorant of the Administration or Insolvency process it is clear that this company is not insolvent, indeed far from it. We have notified all regulatory bodies of the large number of unfounded potentially defamatory and ill-informed comments about this practice. We should also add that we are continuing to exchange and complete on a large number of transactions with satisfied clients.
Well if that is the case, why are they not answering calls or emails? I have asked them to send my file and refund back to me, but email has not been read or answered
If you are so great YOU send MY file and Title deeds back to me, with my refund!!A bad attitude is like a flat tyre: you are not going to get anywhere in life until you change it.

I rather suspect you are either on a wind up or deperately trying to get more money into the company before they close the doors. There are people who stand to lose alot of money as a result of this. You should be ashamed of yourself.0 -
I cannot believe this.
IMRAN HUSSIAN IS INVOLVED WITH A NUMBER OF SOLICITORS AND HAS OTHER COMPANIES TRADING UNDER DIFFERENT NAMES

Hi catwoman,
I think i may have got lucky with the paperwork, I've telephoned and emailed like evryone on here and on monday this week within my uninstruction email to them demanded that they return all my paperwork by special delivery and to provide the tracking number as they have no right to hold the paper work.
I got a message this morning from a jack Patmore who simply said the paperwork had been posted and gave me the tracking number. According to the royal mail, they have the document and it will be delivered tomorrow.
As for money they have my £450 and £76 for searches(they never actioned). Did you pay by credit card? if so speak to them to see what help they can give.
I'll let you know
Wahoo got my paperwork back today so I take my hat off to Jacky, she did what she said she would, so thanks.
Only hope the rest of you can get lucky as well.
Next big task is the cash side of it!!!!0 -

Wolstenholmes is a joke. We've used them since August. Sean Daly who never responded to my emails or calls, we found out had moved to a different department when our estate agent called for an update! The second solicitor Wendy Stevens actually did a good job until she rang us on the Friday to say she was going to review the draft contact, and when I rang Monday was informed she had left the company! On to Ammad Naser, who over a period of 7 weeks returned precisely NONE of our two calls per day and dozens of emails! After searching on the net, we found he is actually on the "Solicitor's from Hell" website!
Amazingly, my husband and I attended a Christmas dinner last week to find out that two people at that function had used Wolstenholmes this year and were seathing when we even mentioned the company name! One chap said he thought he had washed his hands of them when he completed in August, after running around taking documents to various places after Wolstenholmes seemed to have misplaced them at the 11th hour and then on the day of completion sitting outside the house with a removal van and some annoyed removal men trying to get through to them as they had not transferred said monies! This chap received a letter last week from his mortgage provider informing him that Wolstenholmes had not informed the land registry of the new ownership and as a result may not continue lending him his mortgage unless this is sorted. After being on the phone since last week... not one person has answered or returned his emails. Is that negligent or what? What a headache.
We have since ditched Wolstenholmes yesterday and employed a local firm who have been emailing us all day to sort things for us - joy! We will be claiming back out £300 as we never received a shred of info in the post and therefore presume no work was ever done. I have filled out the form on "Watchdog" and logged a complaint with the legal complaints service.
We have put it down to a bad experience and will never use a cheap on-line conveyancer again!
My advice to you all, employ a new local solicitor, it will cost you more, but at least you can sleep at night and not worry that when you exchange they aren't going to go bust and keep your money!
And as for Homes Solicitors.... you gotta be kidding me if you think I'd go near anyone that had associations with Wolstenholmes!! Don't do it!
p.s the solicitor chatting rubbish about how they have many happy customers completing and then threatening legal action against all this... get real! These are the facts from dozens and dozens of people and I have phone bills and email records as long as my arm with NOTHING ANSWERED IN WEEKS... almost months!
Good luck all!0 -
Yea, I saw this one but I wasn't sure if it was the same guy...?0

No, I don't think so, judging by the photo. Poor guy might want to change his name now though :-)0 -
To those who appear to work for Wolstenholmes please confirm.
Can clients collect documents in person from your premises?
Cheques, card transactions, cash etc, will be returned to clients immediately on request?
Are you really open for business?
If not open for business who is the administrator?0
