i've been busy on the internet today - made a argos order - few toys for dd from the 2 for £15 deal. also got 2 suitable for friends children if they bring dd a present, otherwise will keep them until 2010 birthdays!

ordered asda smartprice eclairs and werthers for pots of gold for xmas table in my asda delivery order. as well as ingredients for xmas cake and pudding.

ordered dora pjs (£4.99)for dd xmas eve bag as well as Mr xmas mr men book won on ebay.

Well done on the thrifty purchases but with regards to food I'm trying the opposite: I'm trying to get my mum not to buy too much! She goes mad on chocolates, biscuits etc every Christmas buying way, way too much which we just end up eating then moaning that we've put on tons of weight, so I'm trying to get her to agree to only buy one big tub of chocs and one of biscuits each as a compromise. Wonder if it will work?!

been to aldi today and they've got all the foods for xmas out. got a ceebeebies cake mix set for £1 for dd xmas eve bag too.

is anyone buying bits of xmas food each time they go food shopping yet and storing it away? was tempted in aldi but thought i'd probaby get tempted and eat it before xmas!!!:D

Thanks so much. Chickywiggle - I've follwed them and rung up the Bicester Village and they have what I'm looking for really, really cheap. The only porblem is that they won't post them out and I live miles away! :( What to do, what to do?!

Does the Gunwharf Quays branch have it? I could pick one up for you when I'm there next month and post it to you if you want?

    Wow, thanks! :T :D

    (What does MOC mean?!)

Can I use that code online without buying the magazine? Might be worth buying it to avoid P&P.

Thanks sooo much for your help. Still gutted about the outle not posting things out: I used to work for a posh clothes outlet and we had no problems doing things like that.

a MOC is money off code/ coupon. the fact someone has put it on looks like you don't need the magazine.

tis a shame about the outlet.....hate finding bargins to far away.
loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:

Oooh...I need some chocs to give to someone next week. Do you know if you can get them in shops, or is it just online, Kim? I live a 5 min drive from a shop and could nip to pick them up this afternoon.

Thanks loads for that tip...I totally appreciate it! :A

Thanks. I just rang up my local store and they didn't seem to have any in. Perhaps they sold out?

BTW guys. don't know if any of you live in Oxforshire or near Portsmouth but that L'Occitane outlet seems to have some serious bargains: the Extra Gentle Hand and Body Lotion I'm looking for, which is normally £17.25 is £8 there! Or, 3 bottles of it (300ml) are £21. The only problem is they won't post if you can't pop in yourself. I want to cry! :(
