what about Krakow in Poland. Plenty of sightseeing, 800 pubs for cheap drinks
You can fly to Krakow with ryanair from London Stansted Tues 8 Aug till Tues 15 Aug for the stupid price of £38.34 inc tax and charges +10KG hand luggage(checked in hold baggage extra dependant on how much you take, although at most if booked on line £5 return pp for 20KG each)

uk.Hotels.com have 3* Hotel City SM for £384 per room B+B (others available different prices)

My Unofficial ryanair destination guide to Krakow has lots of info on this fascinating city

Hi-check out STN/LGW/LTN/EMA for Gerona. If you find some cheap flights can get you some good accom. on Costa Brava-also applies to Barcelona seats. Can do transfers too if needed. Do it NOW or prices will rise....
