I just can not sodding believe what I have just heard. !!!!!!!

Hubby is in europe for the next couple of days, then he is flying straight out to the USA for this tour I've been going on about. Long tour I'll miss him but the money is great. So, he quickly cancelled all of his existing gigs and got someone to dep for him. All good.

Well, you would think eh. The stupid b!tch who booked the bloody tickets and sorted out the visas has forgotten to get hubbys. The management have just called and said that they can't do it now because everything is shut with the 4th July thing. So, they told him to go on the tour, they would give him a story (basically stand there and lie at customs as to why he is there) and they will get him the visa sorted next week.

I've just done my nut, as much as I don't want to lose the money which is substantial there is no way I am letting him stand at the customs desk and lie to them saying he is off to visit a friend or some other nonsense. Not only is he likely to be sent home but he will be banned from entering the US in the future.

The thing is, his flight ticket was purchased with a group of musicians who all have visas, it won't take a rocket scientist to work out exactly why he is there when they see his passport with many different country stamps in. He has travelled all across europe, japan, australia and canada this year alone.

I agree with you Toto, it is so not worth the risk, how unprofessional of them to not sort the visa and suggest he compromises himself like that.

You have every right to be furious:mad:

  • Louise, whoop whoop well done :j Good luck with it all.

On the subject of backing things up/sick drives. I have since sussed that if I were to back up itunes onto discs it would take 30 discs  I have just backed up the lateset downloads (I have 4/5 playlists) but I am scared because there must be over £500 worth of music on my pc and after the incident I had a week ago I dont trust it one bit... It wouldn't be to bad but portable hard drives are in excess of £60  I wonder if I can nick my lil bros :rotfl:

Oh and anyone know anything about insurance :rotfl: After thinking about it if I get the little kitty I will have to get insurance for both cats. At the moment I have been feeding a savings account (without mums knowledge) to cover any animal emergencys... However there will be no way I cant save for two cats and I cant just keep the savings for my cat and not the family cat Thomas. Now after reading the whole pet insurance article and thread my head will explade :o Aperently its better if you get a life of the pet policy rather than a 12monthly one because it will cover any ongoing conditions. So the cheapest I have found is £33 a month for the two cats. Thats through pay plan which is also covered through my vet so if anything happened they could apply for the funds not me... oh and I can also get cash back.

However those of you with pet insurance can you tell me if this is good or not... I will warn you I have house insurance and I havn't searched for a cheaper policy in three years. Its gone up £5 in that time frame. I just dont know what I am doing regarding insurance and stuff

Thanks for any help... Oh and sorry I am not giving much to the thread these days :wall:
