Happens quiet often when the cable is yanked, I think the only solution us as someone suggested with tape around the RJ45 connector.0

Have you considered going wireless? :think:0

This is rather common tbh I see it all the time usually happens when someone trips over the cable and it rips it out of the laptop

I have sucessfully stuck a piece of plastic over the top of the port to give the release tab something to grip to but it depends on the damage and the type of laptop etc whether that would word or not.
If you're really careful you could use a piece of blutak on top of the connecter (where the tab is) to help hold it in but be careful it doesnt work its way loose and get on the pins inside the socket0 -
thanks for all the replies .at the moment have put tape round it .so far so good :T0
