Madasafish- Web Domain - how do I add stuff???

Hi,

I have recently got broadband via madasafish and they give you a free domain name. I have had this confirmed back and it opens.

My problem is how to use it - how do I add and change this web page???

Do I need software for this and if so are there any good free ones out there.
I am a complete novice on web design, but fair with IT.

If you would like some assistance on uploading information to your free webspace, please visit: http://support.madasafish.com/. You’ll need to enter you operating system and the product that you’re on in the drop down menus in the upper right hand corner and hit the ‘search’ button. When the screen refreshes, please click on the tab that says “webspace” and you’ll find instructions there on how to FTP from MS Frontpage.

All the FTP settings are also available via the above link.

If you don't have an FTP application, have a look at this site: http://www.smartftp.com/ - it's a FTP application, you can take their 30 day free trial to upload to your webspace - I've not used it, but I've heard it's good.

I personally use Dreamweaver, but this is a pricey solution!

Im with madasafish and happy with it .
I use a program to design and upload to my free website .
designing can be easy using templates .
Its called serif web plus . I think the older version was on free trial a while ago . pm me if you need any info.

WIth the free webdomain, does this mean that you get to choose your own website name, for example https://www.myownname.com, or are you restricted to the standard https://www.myownname.madasafish.com

If fredbloggs.co.uk were still available then yes!

I use my free domain name for my email address too - no fishes involved. (ie. fred@fredbloggs.co.uk).
