BT set up MY landline without speaking to ME

I used to have a landline but cancelled it because I had a mobile & rarely used the landline (cost cutting exercise).
Now almost a year on DH wanted me to get a landline in so that he could get broadband for business purposes. I asked him to get me a number to call & I'd organise it. However, he decided just to call for himself & BT reinstated my phoneline, in my name, at my address, after a call from him.
Now, on the one hand we did want the line in for hubby (his office will reinburse cost) so what's to complain about? But on the other hand he could be some malicious person setting up a landline in order to generate billls in my name without me ever knowing about it until the first bill (which will be 50 quid) arrives.
So my question is: Do I complain and to whom?
:-/

What exactly do you hope to achieve by complaining?0 -
Well I think I'm due an apology from them for setting up the phone line in my name and reinstating my direct debit mandate without consulting me. (DH is actually fiancee, just easier to ref to him as DH)
I'm miffed because I like to think that when I give my personal details to a company they remain between me & the company & third parties can't come along willy nilly making changes on my behalf just because the company takes their word for it that they are who they say they are. (For all they know DH is some psycho ex who set the line up with the intention of plugging a phone in & leaving Australias speaking clock off the hook!).
Guess it's just the principle of the thing!0
