Yes you do, a transfer does NOT count towards your yearly allowances, therefore you would still have your £3000 allowance for tax year 2006-2007Don`t steal - the Government doesn`t like the competition0 -

If you transfer to the Halifax FIXED, you can then open a new direct ISA with the NS&I for this tax year, this coupled with a transfer into Halifax fixed gives you your fixed Halifax fir 1-4 years (your choice) and your £3000 into NS&I at .55% above base rate gtd for 2 years, and the base rate has been kept on hold this month.Don`t steal - the Government doesn`t like the competition0
