help me choose a phone / contract / payg please!
                    ok
I am a relatively 'light user' of my phone (£10 month tops ic the texts)- which was a 3310.
I splashed out and bought a 5140, on PAYG, but found the buttons fiddly and ringtone memory limiting - although liked the gadgets.
I then got the 7600 - again payg - this was ugly, and hated the 5 way navigation button.
I am tempted with the 6230 or 6600(? - the fat one))- but not convinced... I want a phone that will play decent ringtones (via downloads)
As you can see - its been very Nokia orientated, but not sure if this is now best for me.
I would like a phone, with gadgets (video / camera), that works well. Not fussed if PAYG or cashback contract. tempted with some of the e2save offers - not tempted by the '3' coverage!
Any suggestions / advice gratefully received please!!

I use the 3 network. It seems fine to me. Tried it on the move from Liverpool to Manchester and from Birmingham up to Liverpool.
Apparently the 3 network uses o2's network where it's own coverage is not available. So really, it shoud be reasonably ok.0

There is that 3510i on the orange network that is 30 quid. Basic phone but quite usable and has poly ringtones and is quite easily unlockable see here:
 http://shop.orange.co.uk/shop/show/handset/nokia_3510i/detail/pay_as_you_go
 But alas no camera.
Tesco have a Sony Ericsson T610 for 90 quid, decent phone but different to Nokia so will take some getting used to. See here:

Amazon & Comet have the T610 for £79.99. Amazon on TMobile & Comet on Virgin. Virgin Mobile direct also have this phone @ £79.99 with £15 free call credit - after spending £30 on credit, including the free stuff, you can request the unlock code from Virgin for free.
(Incidentally, about a week ago, Comet were selling this phone for £69.99)
Also...for a wee bit more (£99.99) you can get hold of thew T630 on Virgin from Amazon - basically a T610 wth an improved screen.

As said earlier the nokia 3510i is a good basic phone. Wife has one and likes it. Easy to use decent phone and colour. I think forward cellular are doing it for £29.99 on orange PAYG, which is a good deal.
Good luck I am NOT a mortgage & insurance adviser - or anything to do with finance, that was put on by the new system I dont know why?!0 I am NOT a mortgage & insurance adviser - or anything to do with finance, that was put on by the new system I dont know why?!0
