Download MALWAREBYTES (Make sure you click 'DOWNLOAD LATEST VERSION')
http://www.filehippo.com/download_malwarebytes_anti_malware/
Open malwarebytes and goto UPDATE and click 'check for updates'. After its updated goto SCANNER and click PERFORM QUICK SCAN then click SCAN
Remove everything thats found (needs to be ticked)
Post the COMPLETE log here AFTER youve deleted everything it finds
If anything was found then do the exact same but run a FULL scan
Download HostsXpert (US MIRROR)

lol yes what he means he forgot to keep up with his updates and would now like a lookys.
personally if the machine has been this temperamental judging how its played up i would do a full format reinstall windows from scratch and that way know exactly what is on there making sure to save and important docs and pics first of all to usb keys or discs at least that way a fresh install cleans all the rubbish out permanently!0 -

Cheers for that. I ran Malwarebytes this afternoon, downloaded the updates etc and it found 1 item. so Ill run it again and do the full scan as you said, and will then see what it produces. Here is the log of this afternoons quick scan:

Post the COMPLETE log it creates here (Split into sections if need be) ~ if there are loads of 'SNAPSHOT' pages then leave them out
If it comes up with a RENAMING error then RIGHT click the exe file and RENAME and call it QWERTY (Making the complete file name 'QWERTY.exe') Or SAVE as 'QWERTY' on download
