They have targets to meet and push people as hard as they can to get money out of them. After years of abuse they probably don't believe anyones stories.
Still that said they are a bunch of idiots.
I appreciate that they have targets, what I think is totally unacceptable is the rubbish they spout. We'll come round to your house, we'll keep calling you until you pay, No, £50 a month is unacceptable, we are entitled to come into your house and start listing your belongings.
If I had the patience I would have phoned some more of them last year when I fell into trouble just to see how much more rubbish they would lie to me about. Might have cheered me up to listen to it!
The trouble is that the OFT simply doesn't do their job in monitoring them and investigating complaints so they know that they will get their kicks (sorry money) by intimidating naive people and frighten them into paying.
I would hope that they would realise that if they were decent enough telesales agents/negotiators/human beings that they could get a decent job, earning nice cash with good incentives and a nice working environment. Clearly they are not though so they are reduced to working for DCA vultures who pick off the remains of debts from the unfortunate few who fall on hard times. In my mind they are only a snifter up the career ladder of McDonalds street sweepers0 -

You don't have to register for the electoral roll. They will have to check who is registered and paying council tax now to see if it is the same or not.
Not all agencies are as accommodating as this one was even with the clearly checkable info that can be sought.0 -

Umm, I think that you do have to register for the electoral role - unless the law has changed - there used to be up to a £2k fine for not being on it - I know that there are 2 rolls now - one that is closed & 1 that is available to be bought by marketing companies?0
