O2 Online PAYG errors
It would appear to me that O2 are making a real hash of this service at the moment. In November and December I had to contact them when they didn't credit the full 300 free texts upon £10 monthly top up. Whilst mine seemed to have settled down again I know of a few others who have missed out recently often with half or less of the allocated number being given.
I now regularly ring free 4444 option 2 and then 2 again ( bolt ons ) to make sure it is working ok and monitor outstanding free text allowance.
O2 blame computer error, and I believe it is a genuine error of some sort because this month I had my monthly free text allowance given in full without topping up at all. I was about to contact them for cutting my remaining free texts off a day or two early when by checking the above number a couple of days later I found this bonus. On balance I suppose that levels things up but if I hadn't kept an eye on it I am sure I would have been short changed overall.
I like the O2 service and moved from Orange when they tried upping the text costs a year or two back. They always correct things promptly but it is worth monitoring.

i seem to have to email them every month or maybe even more cos my kids and i all have the o2 payg, i ve just recently topped up i was 2 days late.. my texts went on but my wap never so the reply was ' due to a system error' as always they then said my wap would be on and credited with 114 texts hmmmm i hope they're on top of my 300 texts:rolleyes:0

I just checked my balance, and it has been short changed, apparently it happens if you don’t top up by the exact same date each time, which then moves the anniversary date, and then the computers don’t add the correct texts etc to your account (50% less or something).
I just asked and they said mine had been loosing some each second month, as my date changes.
They can only replace missing ones on the last month, so they advised check it each time after you top up, and then call to sort if wrong.0 -

Always get a quick response back and its free and if you don't agree with the reply you can send it back with a title ' Get it right ' and somebody more experienced / senior gets involved. I find I use this 'get it right' option as often as not. They need name, full postal address, mobile phone number and registered date of birth to validate it is authentic.0 -
I always dial the 4444 top up number, wait for it to repeat the options 3 times, and then it offers you an option to be put through to customer services. Doing it this way is free

hi must be a lot of us out there 02 has not gave there monthly allowance to I have just emailed them and they have said computer error and put the allowance on to phone right away so any one who have not got their mins op txts email them asap0
