Your order is currently with the carrier and a detailed status on your delivery should be available shortly

smsmasters - UPS for me, think it varies depending on where you are located.

I am on the verge of buying this laptop with the 15.4" widescreen, DVD RW, and 6 cell battery for £339. BUT... how likely is the 'new' offer that comes out tomorrow likely to be a better deal?! Obviously nobody can be sure, but what are the chances?

Can anyone that has already received one of these laptops comment on whether they look smart ... or do they very much look like a cheap basic laptop?

    Thanks!

The pattern with the offers seems to have been good like this one week, then "normal" the next.

If you need it, go for it, cracking price (hence why I will be taking delivery of one within the next few days).

It cant be worse than the build quality on cheap Acers, feel like they are going to break when you touch them. (And its £50-£150 less)

Walsh Western International for me. Package currently at Holyhead (came by ferry) - already had a phone call to arrange delivery sometime between 8.00 and 6.00 tomorrow (tracking site estimates 9:30)

    Cheers,

The laptop as specced is actually £350.75 unless you're using the Employee scheme thingumy. I'd take a punt now and if they change the offer to a much better one tomorrow then just phone up and cancel and then order the new one. Sometimes instead of a new offer they just extend a current one so no telling what might happen tomorrow.

As a side note the 6 cell battery is (I believe) a Li-ion one whereas the 4 cell is NiMh so even more reason to spec the upgraded battery.

Mine actually left the factory last night:

Your order number ********* left Dell's European Manufacturing Facility on 11/04/2006 22:28:42.

Here is what the technical details says on the Dell website, contradicts itself somewhat:
    Dell wrote:
    Battery (4-cell NiMH )
Bullet Type: 4-cell (29WHr) "Smart" Lithium Ion
    Bullet Dimensions
    Height: 24mm
    Depth: 54mm
    Width: 250mm
    Weight: 0.24kg

Seems they dont know wheither its NiMH or Li-on :D

Cheers for the advice. Just done it, although not sure if it will go through!Used the EPP link, so paid £326. Problem might be that my delivery address is different to my billing address (work) and it does say that the addresses must both be registered with my credit card... obviously the work one isnt!
