Not everyone has their own computer.

True moneysavers might access at the library.

Some ISPs only give a limited amount of email addresses. I was with one that gave only 3 email addresses. Useless if a bigger family.

My sister is also with AOL, but she likes all the games you can only play a limited amount of time (e.g. It used to be that with Who wants to be a Millionaire you got 3 goes per screen name per week) so she's registered all the "screen-names" (email addresses) to herself :p

Personally I never check my ISP email account so there are probably dozens of notifications of replies and IMs from DS I've never received

Well at least you understand it all sra, and I never check my ISP mail 'cos I don't like it much - I just check DS without it now.

And I understand people checking mail at internet cafes and colleges etc. Last time I used one at college, it gave a floppy disc a virus, so I'd never go to those moneysaving lengths :)

Maybe it's time ISP's catered for more than one person?

But anyway, I'm off to walk the floor ;) (And wonder why ISP's are so stingy!)

    Thanks btw ...

if we don't do it, then ppl will spend all morning posting on them saying things like 'what a silly idea' etc, and they'll keep getting pushed up.

If we push them up once, then they'll go....

Yup. I reported about 10 of his posts but then got bored. I do think something needs to be done. I use digitalspy as I work in tv and part of me thinks that for a site like that people should either give a "real" e-mail address or go through some other sort of checking procedure; however I guess it's different here as people might be wanting to post anonymously about debt or legal problems etc. Tricky one.

    Good point!
Broadband providers hope you'll be loyal when they put their charges up but not MSEers!
BTW thanks for acting so quickly with your spam tin on those 40 posts this morning!

Web based is a pain in the backside and isnt the way to go the best
thing to do is just get a Yahoo or Gmail account then thats web based and
program based aswell so you have the best of both worlds.

either that or but your own domain and hosting.
