A good reason to not use web-based e-mail addresses?

I know the techies get rid of them, (thanks for that :)) but wouldn't non-web-based adds be better? :confused:

    Every keyboard should have a 10,000v shock button on it for forums......
    Click on the spammer, press 'shock the b!!!!!!s' button.....

    But why not have non-web based e-mail adds and ban the b*ggers?

    I did suggest it once westie ... but because people want two user names (for personal reasons - which I understand in some cases), it was overlooked.
