    Hi Barny,

I've just turned thirty with a mortgage balance very similar to what yours was at the outset. Thanks for writing this diary; I'll finish clearing my credit card debt this month and found your diary a real inspiration to get started on the mortgage.

Keep up the good work fella - I'm hoping I'll be able to make equally impressive progress!

    Enjoying reading your progress Barny.
You've inspired us to list a load of stuff on Amazon over the weekend.
Congratulations on the most recent eBay sale - it's a good one!

I like your overpayment strategy Barny! Lots of little ones.

At the moment we save ours up for once a month as santander make such a meal of it. We have to do the payment, phone them up to confirm its to come of the capital, and they wait a week or 2 for a confirmation letter. Its a big pain!

Wow! With mine I go onto Internet Banking, selecting the amount I would like to transfer, click submit and the new balance shows. Really easy - maybe too easy! :rotfl::rotfl:

Really great progress. I am aiming to buy a house for a similar amount by the time I am 30 so really pushing myself at the moment not to spend money! Very addictive really! :D
