that's a shame it wasn't nearer to me Sally - if it were Haskins near me i'd have seen if there was another similar event going on.

    I've had two 99 Flake cornetto icecreams today........probably shouldn't have a third!

evening all - well went to view the house... it was a bit scabby tbh... (still waiting for cleaners to come in) but decor was less than fab... downstairs liveable, upstairs less lovely.

So i asked whether there was any chance of a consideration for a lower rent for a long term tenant who was willing to undertake decoration... so i offerred £450 and will see how it works out. I'm 50/50 at the moment.

Also went to see another "cottage" - for which read staff accomodation cottage at the back of local hotel/indian restaurant.... and when i say back of, i mean stinky indian food smells kitchen vents 5 feet away... (i love indian food but not morning noon and night!) This one would be £595 a month, so have discounted it out of hand.

Came home to civilised talk with Big W, he was calmer after speaking to his mum. We discussed regular money, stopping the bills we need to stop, he said io should get on the list and just stay put meantime but i honestly think i can make a bit of a go of the 1st house if i got it for £500 a month.

I've done a rough sOA and it is manageable.

I think i would take the 1st place, but actually it's subject to my providing a rent book, reference from work detailing length of service, job, salary etc... (i can draft this up myself if i need to) and bank reference or even just 4 months bank statements detailing salary......

so even i want it, i still might not get it. Altho i can't see why.....

I'm so pleased about work money anyway, what a load off my mind!

hey samantha pantha!! lol! nice siggy!
