Morning all,
Have had DGD, 4mths old, since 1pm y/day, she slept through from 8pm until 6.05 this am. Fed and topped & tailed her and have washed her clothes through by hand and now drying on the line. BM on and soup simmering.
DD2 and I will take her for her 2nd Water Babies swimming lesson later on, she loves the water.
DH is going to mow the lawn & clean the car, must sort out stuff to take for our 4 day break at Silverstone to see the Renault world series Thanks to MSE I got 2 free tickets.
Hope it's a good day for all.
JACKI O, Hope you get good news today, will be thinking of you.
HERMOINE, Good luck at the hosp, hope all goes well.0 -
Jackie The best of luck this afternoon & all good wishes to your daughter. She must feel terrible. I had my gall bladder removed about 4 years ago so understand the pain she is in ((hugs)) to you both.
It's sunny here which is nice after yesterday's mugginess and rain. Not much planned apart from going food shopping, a bit of ironing and the usual cleaning & tidying round. Tea tonight is sweet & sour chicken with rice which allows me to use up some peppers & courgettes in the sauceI chop them all finely in the food processor so that they're hidden
Diva I tried lentils once and nobody liked the texture so I stick to veggies now. I'm :rotfl: at the image of porridge mince!
Hope that you all have a good day & ((hugs)) to anyone who needs one.0 -

Good morning, crikey isn't it hot!!
Jackie, good luck with the consultant hun, and I hope DD feels better soon.
W*rk feels like a sauna today, and unfortunately I still have to wear my uniform! Mind you I don't think my boss would take very kindly to me walking into w*rk in my bikini?!
Couldn't sleep last night as I was so hot and when I did finally fall asleep, I slept funny and have hurt my side, not good.
Not too MS today I have to put petrol in the car as I have a hospital appointment, and I need to go shopping, but I will try and be as frugal as possible and try and buy ingredients to make things from scratch.
Still have a flower on my chillie plant, and my tommyatos are still alive even in this heat.
I hope you all have a good day, hugs to all that need them. Keep smiling.0 -

Hi everyone.
Redruby - hope your OH feels better soon - I'm with you, though, he might as well make himself useful if he's got the day off! How about giving him some ironing, too?
Jackie0 - wishing you the very best of luck this afternoon, and (((hugs))) to your poor DD.
Grandmasam - well done to you! It's the most fantastic feeling, isn't it? You had a much longer journey than I did, too, and more countries to pass through. You'll be able to tackle anything now!
PenPin - (((hugs))) to you.
Tired Mum - I'm so pleased your DS has not been excluded. I hope the bullying gets sorted out once and for all, and that he can start doing what every child has a right to - enjoying his schooldays.
MSD - that really made me laugh! I might do that on some of the power tools that DH has 'treated' himself to! Perhaps not, though - they are the tools of his trade, I suppose.
Well, it's baking hot here already. We had a wild thunderstorm yesterday evening then, a bit later on, the sky turned a gorgeous pink colour, which transformed the colour of the fields (which are quite dry now). The scene was quite magical. I've taken some photos which I hope to put on Facebook some time today, including pictures of our little corner of France.
Dinner tonight is pork chops - in one of our favourite newly-discovered sauces (creme fraiche with added bits, in this case, leeks, garlic and mushrooms), new pots (again, but they're so lovely here), and salad (again - I can't help it).
Right, off to do some work. All my boring household chores are done, DH is working about two hours away from home, and will be gone all day, it's really quiet and peaceful, with just a few cows and a horse to look at (and talk to, when I need a chat!), birds washing themselves in the bird bath (can't believe how many visit it for a drink and a wash), and an afternoon nap to look forward to!
See you all later.
