I'm feeling a bit better tonight now, but am surprised that I didn't even get a 2nd interview. I am going to see if there is anywhere you can go to do mock interviews.
Then they can tell you if I am doing something wrong. I've been for countless interviews over the past year, so it could be an option to do this.
It will cost a bit of cash I would imagine, but it might be worth it in the long run.
Was at costco tonight, spent £80, but it will last for ages, so I don't mind really.
I'll need to reel the spending in and watch everything though, as I seem to be getting nowhere fast. Possibly because I get pants wages and nothing much from the shop.:rolleyes:0 -
So sorry about your interview SL, maybe it just easn't right for you. Hope something comes up soon that has your name stamped on it.
Bails if the cottage is meant for you it will be waiting when you get back, so just concentrate on enjoying the great experience you're about to have - so glad your health is good enough too.
Had so much to say when I was reading, but now can't remember who said what (note to self, must make notes as i go) so hugs and congrats to all who need/deserve them (well, that will be all of you then :rotfl:)
I put it down to exhaustion as I did the 2nd C25K workout today (was away visiting a friend yesterday) and although it seemed ok at the time, I ache from head to toe now.
Slugs have been at my spuds too, should I harvest the lot now? The first ones were deliciious.
Tomatoes still very green (they are outside, as I don't have a greenhouse).

Good evening all.
SM - VERY impressed, stuff growing there is miles ahead of anything here
Loopylou - As SM already said - it's a completely different lifestyle once children come along and you had the work related changes to deal with as well. Things might get tougher but you just need to focus on what's beyond that for the sake of all concerned. Start a new SOA and see where things are tightest within the budget and then you may find something extra you've overlooked that will tide you over until OH's self employment picks up. The next contract is just around the corner.
Well done completing Workout 2, Lingo, I found it much more achy than the first one, so don't know what to expect tomorrow for number 3 but I'm determined I'm going to stick with it, shin splints, blisters and all.
SL - just a thought, dinnae gie me a heider fur it - who was it you called a b*tch and could you possibly have been overheard? Or did you actually introduce said sourfaced, sneering job applicant to the concept of a 'Glesga kiss?' I sensed just a smidgen of hostility at the interview.
(Just trying to cheer you up, please don't take it personally, ah'll gie ye ma Barr Bru.)
I reserve the right not to spend.
The less I spend, the more I can afford.

Day 3
Well the public bus journey was a scream. We almost got on the wrong bus (the wrong driver was so keen to take us!). No chickens but some real characters and blaring carribean music for 6 hours. Arrived in the beautiful foothills of Borquette. Ate local fish, corvina for dinner.
Day 4
We explored the town and made our way up to coffee plantation. Sampled coffee 70p a cup and absolutely beautiful, served on the terrace with the hills all around. Left in the afternoon for Bocos del Torra. Sailed for the port-very interesting area of floating houses-to Colon Island. Reminded me of the Carribean-very laidback. Stuck gold with dinner, at The Pirate Inn on the waterfront eating Corvina fish for dinner for only a few dollars. Grocery/food budget is going really well. Saved up to $40 so far.
Day 5
Out on a boat today. Had a massive tropical storm in the middle of the Carribean sea. Frightening but fun. The weather cleared and we saw bottlenose dolphins-jumping high out of the water. Went to a floating restaurant for lunch. In the afternoon we saw red frogs which are tiny and of course red at Red Frog beach. Swam in the Carribean sea.
Opportunity to sea Turtles nesting in the evening. We went but they didn't show. Very exciting going anyway.
Day 6
Left island this morning. Drove to the Costa Rican boarder and crossed over..the most dangerous bridge with all my luggage in the rain. Love the feel of Costa Rica already. Beautiful countryside..bananas, pineapples, mangoes growing everyway. Our hotel is in a beautiful forest and guess what....I've just seen a toucan!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(sorry nyk) There were 2 calling to each other in trees just by our room. What a wonderful moment. Now sitting in the bar, writing to you.
Do hope everyone is well.

Almost forgot to say we've saved $60 so far. MS Carribean style.
