:eek::eek::eek: Is that a typo?
I've never earned that in a week, let along a day:o:o
Ddraig - sorry to hear about your DS, has he any idea where or when he contracted it? Hope he gets rid of it soon. I think I might cancel my trip to market and try to avoid busy places in non-local areas for a bit as it seems to be getting a bit too wide spread for my liking.
SM - are you here yet? :rotfl:I can see the car, so I know you're in there :rotfl: and I'm eagerly awaiting news that the new phoneline is working and that you're online. Testing, testing, 1,2,3
CW, there are loads of bats here, at least 3 different types, from what I can see if I judge by the sizes. Mum has Pipistrelles nesting at side of her house, so she watches the babies climbing around, clinging onto the wall. I've seen quite a few and have held them, they look like flying vampire mice. :rotfl:We used to get them into the vet surgery and had to freeze any dead ones until they'd been properly identified, as some of them are protected species. Still don't like them and I don't like the June bugs they have in Suffolk, either. Yuck! I got told that they CAN get tangled in your hair and need to be cut out, but I'm not sure if that was someone just winding me up because they knew I was scared from them.I reserve the right not to spend.

Ooops yes it was a typo, I've altered it now.

Hi Hester,
Lovely to 'see' you again. Haven't seen you for ages. I've just spent an enjoyable few minutes reading your blog. I still think you should write a book. I'd like an autographed copy, of course.
DS is outside putting the washing on the line, bless him. We have blue skies and sunshine here for a change. Shame DH is working. I must go out for a walk today.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Hiiiiiii
DDraig - Hope your DS gets well asap
Patchwork Cat - Hope you had a good birthday, belated birthday wishes
Hester - Lovely to hear from you, hope you sort the funding situation out
Well, I managed to book tickets to Bill Bailey, I think they only have a certain amount allocated to internet bookings or something.
The volume at work has picked up, so I am back in at 10.00 on Monday. Good in terms of £, but I had got used to my lie ins, breakfast and a 3 day weekend.
Used a 5p/litre voucher in Mr. T last night, every little helps
OH and I watched The S€x And The City film last night, which was alright. Nothing like the actual world we live in however. Were meant to be going to Boconnoc Steam Fair today but he decided to work instead  Maybe tomorrow...although I still have to go into Plymouth and get a new outfit. So, today will do a few Ebay listings, maybe sort out my spare room a bit more...freezer inventory, meal plan etc. General pottering
Have a good one :wave:We must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret and disappointment0 -

I had planned to do a big Mr T shop this weekend, but after sorting out my meal plan (and checking against freezer contents/space) I reckon I'm actually best to leave it for another week..... Need to refuel before next Saturday (about 90 miles in tank, service/MOT on Monday - which means they'll be running the engine a while - and a 100 mile trip on Saturday for GD1s birthday outing), so probably big shop next FridayMeans I'll lose the use of my £2 off 'till spit', but I've spotted it has to be used in a more distant store (a larger one I did the shop in that gained me the voucher) which will cost me at least an extra £1 in petrol for the journey anyway :rolleyes2 I should be able to get everything I need in the more local one - I did the longer trip last time as I wanted something specific the smaller one doesn't have, and also wanted to bob into a couple of other stores on that retail park.
Might spend this weekend getting some batch cooking done for later in the month though - while I still have a small amount of freezer space to be putting tubs in to freeze in portion sized chunks
Got a letter this morning informing me my Widowed Parents Allowance is being stopped on 9th Sept, as I'll no longer be in receipt of CB. So I'll have to contact them after chasing up the CB to get a continuance on my CT discount, and hope I can get it sorted before it stops and has to be reprocessed  No way I'll get through September without that money, as it's actually the largest individual part of my income  All I need now is a similar letter from CTC and I'm totally snookered !!!!!!!!!Cheryl0 -
:j:j:jJust popping in briefly for some good news. My Am@z0n buyer just contacted me. He went to his post office and there was my packet. The postie didn't leave a note . I nearly suggested to him to check the PO or his neighbours yesterday but thought the chances are slim. I'm so over the moon and learnt my lesson
- recorded mail for more valuable items from now on. I would have been quite a few quid out of pocket if I had to reimburse him and I would have lost my item.
Need to pop out now, see you laterDEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250 -
Even recorded mail only gives limited compensation - 100 x cost of a standard (letter) first class stamp. So for anything over £39 you need to be using Special Delivery - but that's a lot more expensive (especially for smaller/lightweight items)Cheryl0

Thanks for the tip. I just checked the prices and it would have been ~£6 (an extra 3.50 to what I paid) for special delivery which would have been worth it. Next time.....DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250 -
Yay, thrifty! That often happens, I always tell my buyers to check the sorting office.
CW - Just checked the website and it does not state when it ends, my coupon ran out on the 9th August (groceries bought at the start of July). The fuel was cheaper there anyway @ 99.99p/litre, as opposed to about £1.05 everywhere else. Have you seen the weekly email? Tesco are doing a big points bonus on perfume, might make the trip a bit more worthwhile for you. Hope you sort out your financing, you seem to be having a lot of hassle with it all!
I just made Cheesy Garlic Mushrooms for lunch, as I had some mushrooms and cream that needed using. It was yummy.
Right, off to do more housework (I am doing the 2hours work = half hour lappy time thing)We must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret and disappointment0 -
DG, hope your DS is feeling better soon xBe who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.
