Evening,
I have done the last long trip of the week, so I am in the shop tomorrow, working from 'home'.
I have survived the second day of slimming world, I checked my spices and I seem to have everything for shaz's curry sauce. The only thing that is puzzling me is the cardamon seeds, is that the pods shaz, I've got them, but could not see seeds in the shop tonight.
I bought some mini milk ice lollys, these only have 1 and a half syns each, and also got some other bits. Cans of pineapple where 26p each so stocked up on these as I love it. DH hates it so he will not go near it.:T
Will study the diet in detail over the weekend. The only thing I don't like about it is that they seem to be keen on using packet stuff and drinking gallons of fizzy diet juice which is full of aspartame, which is bad for you.
Artificial sweetners have this as well, except Splenda. I may buy some of this to make some wee cakes and desserts up.
Still got a couple of whoopsies, a big bag of lemons for 40p and 4 brown rolls for 8p.
Frugalitis must be setting in on me, I was walking back to the car when I had finished my appointment today and there were loads of pinecones, and I mean loads. I had the urge to go and buy some bin bags and clear them all up, to deliver to Nyk's house. I don't have a fire, so they are of no use to me, how sad is that!:rotfl:(Just felt it was a shame to leave them there).
Will check in later. xx
p.s. Happy birthday to DS Cheryl and hope all poorly folk are doing a bit better tonight. xx0 -
SL - you could have sprayed the pinecones silver or gold and used as Xmas decorations.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0

Great to see you posting SFT, and that you've made it to the end of term. WOW to the presents from your class, I'm impressed!
Great news about your nan Lynda, what a relief.
I could sell OH... :rotfl:
Actually that reminds me, he was amazing yesterday and said he would take care of everything - the house, cooking, dog etc for my first few months back at work - he even offered to help me with the admin side of things for work! This would make such a difference to my back to work options and help the transition wonderfully. I wouldn't swop him for the world! :smileyheaThe 1,000 Day Challenge:Feb 16, 2016500/30,000

We have huge bags of pine cones. Were more at school today so may pick them up when I next go in. Also collecting paper for our logs (handy that we have so much thrown away at school) and saving our jam jars although suspect we will miss blackberrying whilst we are away.
. Next door neighbour puts loads of windfalls outside his house too (really stupid question but will we miss this too if we are away about a month?).
I love being frugal!

No you won't miss them SFT :T Sorry to mislead you, I don't actually have a job back here yet, it was a conversation we were having about the future
Did you see the voluntary placement link though? Great point about the paper at school, I can't wait til we have a fire to use it up too (I hate how much paper gets wasted in schools!). I love being frugal too! :T

 Sorry for being slow and not up to date.
Questions for BAILS:- When do you leave?
- When do you get back?
- Where are you staying? For how long? What are you doing there?
- Are you travelling anywhere else?

Hello,
First of all get well soon wishes to all that need it and there seem to be a quite few unfortunately. And congratulations to all the achievment this month.
This month's budget is going better than expected but I'm dreading next month. Was hoping to achieve 2/3 of my savings target which is a nice round sum but it might be tough. Just got the invitations through for two weddings, a hen do, a birthday party and a leaving do. Plus we'll have our work's bbq and another bbq (although they will easily be possible in a frugal way). So have to try harder to save money elsewhere like groceries which should be possible despite my current addiction to fresh fruit (no more spends this month apart from milk hopefully).DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250 -
lol, no worries SFT. We leave on 7th August and get back some time in April. We don't know where we're staying yet, we'll sort it out when we get there but we're working here for 5 months - OH will be installing a wind turbine and solar water heaters, general eco engineering stuff and I'll be teaching. We're both really looking forward to it :j Once we leave Nepal we'll be heading home overland, hopefully via Tibet, China, Mongolia, Russia on the Trans-Siberian, stopping off at some places. That's about as planned as it gets at the mo lol! It wasn't til we were getting our jabs the other day and explaining where we were going that it sunk in we were travelling to all these other exciting places too :rotfl:
Once I have a blog up and running I'll let you have it x You must be excited about your trip too, not long now! :T
Wow Thrifty, thats' some social life! :T Well done for being determined to be frugal in spite of it :TThe 1,000 Day Challenge:Feb 16, 2016500/30,000

Had a look at that site, that sounds amazing and the project sounds really interesting. You must definitely post a link to your blog.
My social life turns like that about once a year (on top of the usual get togethers with friends and god knows how many birthdays througout the year) so I should really be better prepared, I just wish it was a bit more spread out over the year. This is one of the reasons why I'm on this forum, to get better organised, keep that social life up and still try to be frugal and save for a deposit etc
