ladies shoes size 8/9

Hi, can anyone on group suggest suitable stores where ladies shoes, size 8 or 9 can be bought? It seems one make of size 8's is another's size 9. No standard, and not much choice. Just returned an unsuitable pair after paying £5 postage to get them, and another £5 to return them for a refund. Ouch! Any tips welcome.

Just getting used to finding my way around. Clarks do some styles in size 9 and also that shoe superstore Brantano(?) used to do shoes upto size 9. My mum is size 9EE so I know how difficult it has been for her to buy shoes in the past. She also used a catalogue, I think it was called ambrose wilson, but I don't know what styles they have.
when they were giving out brains, I thought they said 'trains', so I asked for a slow one... :(

My wife has tho opposite problem - size 2!. Try Barrets. They have a 'tall and small' section for some of their styles.
