I have wondered sometimes if some people receive items and forget to enter them, or they were away when the post arrived and then get entered incorrectly!

That's right mum2one, I have had the same a few times and you do say to yourself ''Did I post it or is it still lying in the house''. They make you feel as though you are dishonest.
I don't think it is intended, I think it is more just an offical "tone".
I don't know the process they follow but I guess it is something like this: Something has not gone to plan with a test item. They need to investigate. The first port of call is the sender to confirm that it was correctly initiated. The next part of the investigation will be why did a letter from Bath go to Bristol via the Manchester sorting office, but this is only relevant if it was correctly posted to begin with. They can't rely on trust in these matters, every step of the process has to be treated with suspicion so they have to ask. The same goes for the "are you sure you posted/received on this date" emails.
I guess the simplest analogy I can think of is after I give a shopkeeper some money to pay for something, having counted it out, they count it again. When they count out my change, I count that again too. On the whole I don't feel the shopkeeper thinks I'm being dishonest nor do I feel he is dishonest, it is just a question of making sure no errors have been made before proceeding.

Come on people, it's not difficult: lose means to be unable to find, loose means not being fixed in place. So if you have a hole in your pocket you might lose your loose change.

I've said this before elsewhere in this thread so excuse me for saying it again.

If you get any of the old style vouchers and have trouble using them Love2Shop will take then back and exchange them for new ones. I've done this three times and each time I have I've received vouchers that can also be used at Argos from them. They recommend that you send them special delivery though which is expensive so I save mine through the year and send them in November to exchange for new ones and use them for Christmas shopping.
  • Heys there,
ummmm, did anyone have a posting for today? I had, despite the fact that it was a Bank Holiday here, so I'm not sure if it would have been picked up anyway by the Royal Mail?
I didn't twig untill I got back to the office after it, and was reminded from co-workers about it.
I'm not a complete idiot!........... Pieces of me are missing :rotfl:

  • Has anyone moved house whilst doing the Royal Mail Survey. I am hoping to soon, it will be within the same town but I am wondering if I have to reapply to continue on the survey. Or do I give them my new details and hope that they keep me on?

If you are in the same postcode area ie BN10 ... and you move to BN10 ... then you should be ok. If you move to BN11 ... then there may be a problem, that is if they are full up with people in that postcode.
Just email and ask them saying you would really love to carry on with the work and keep fingers crossed. Good luck :)
