  • Hi
I'm going to Florida this year and I booked my disney tickets through DW tickets
    DW Savers Club at DWTickets.com
they sell all sorts of ticket combinations i booked 10 day hopper no water parks for £625 - two adults two children
they also sell tickets for all major attractions they deliver to your hotel or collect direct from their office.
otherwise $21.00 to post to uk

if you sign up to the news letter they send you a discount voucher code
twice a month with further discounts

    hope this helps

Got my car hire with Budget - and pay for the additional insurance through 'daily excess' (think this is the name- more info on MSE) which starts from £3 per day and covers you saving you taking out the companies insurance.

Hmm! I don't think you should have paid £3 a day excess - Alamo, Dollar and Budget do not usually have any excess, it is normally set at nil - see my post on car hire...

First, if you want to book with BA or Virgin, then the longer you wait, the more you will pay! They both operate a system where the first seats sold are cheaper and the price gradually increases the more full the plane!

A villa or town house is nicer than a hotel, though be careful about renting unbonded off a stranger.

I have been 15 times, so if you want any advice you can PM me!
  • We have gone to Orlando a few times doing the following tricks.
    1. Book a fly drive holiday on-line, take the smallest car and DO NOT upgrade. At that point, you are only going to use the flight and NOT their car hire option.
    2. Book a hire car yourself via the many on-line car rental deals.
    3. Book a villa to match your party.
    4. Buy holiday insurance, if your timing is good, this may cover next years holiday as well.
    5. If flying from an airport not local to you, book a hotel with an overnight stay at the airport with parking included.
  • hi all
we used to live in orlando and have found some great savings through experience and local friends.

For car hire try us car hire co uk we have used them for the past few years and have never been beaten, there platinium package includes gas and all the extras, and even the gold pack includes all the extra insurance, especially good for bigger vehicles, always go one car bigger because of all the luggage you will have on the way back.

For tickets use orlando fun tickets com they are super cheap and they can send the tickets too you or they are located just outside the disney entrance on the 535 apopka vineland road near the I4 highway. never found them cheaper anywhere else for disney tickets, and also never get the park hopper or ultimate tickets, you pay for the luxary of them and if you have time to hop between parks you are wasting your time and not seeing everything at the parks. the base tickets are perfect and cheap 222 dollars for a 7 day disney base ticket which is plenty for a 2 week visit considering how much more there is to see and do. and buying the tickets there in cash means you get a great exchange rate instead of using a credit card.

For cheap dinning go to ponderosa or sizzler at lunchtimes, you order a set meal and then have the free buffet, the buffet has so much choice that you can have 2 plates of buffet by the time dinner comes then ask for a box for your plated meal and take it home for dinner later (2 meals for under 10 dollars)
Just for info for a great meal try Smokey bones on the junction of 535 and 192, the best bbq food around but about 15 to 20 dollars a head.

coupon books are great as people have said, use the vouchers for every meal and you basically cover your tip cost, and please tip, brits have a bad name for tipping, 20% for good service, 10% for poor or ok service.

Another great one is the park refill drink cups, they are good souvineairs but costly at first but what people dont realise is that once you have a disney one you can take it to all the disney parks and just pay refill price and you can take a seaworld or universal one to either park i.e universal to seaworld/buschgarden and seaworld to universal/islands of adventure.

    hope that all helps
  • Try KGSTICKETS.COM We tried them last year and they beat all disney tickets. We were aprehensive as we picked them up at 19.00 on a Sat night but their office was open in Kissimme .Just off the Old Town. Now every month they send me the deals of the month and some of them are excellent value. There was 8 of us including our grandchildren who they give goody bags to. If nothing else just check out their deals of the day. We paid in dollars which at the time was not too bad.
We always cheat a little and say our grandchild is under 8 when he was 10 and the 5 yr old is under 3 and we never did pay not even when my own children we growing up. No one ever questioned us.
