Options
hi can anyone help my mum has both gas and electric card meters but has now switched to paying quarterly the thing is when she had her last readings it has shown that she was putting in far too much and that between the two meters she is now owed nearly £3000 but brittish gas are saying she is not entitled to any of it back or even to be transferred over to her new set up, is there any way possible of getting this money back?

How have you identified that she has overpaid £3000, ?
Is it showing as a credit on the meter ?0 -
yes when the man came to read both meters it shown up that she was so many pounds on each meter and that the total for both meters was around £3000.0

Does she have any clear evidence of this and have BG accepted this or is it just heresay?0

Why did you put so much in? Just don't top up for a while and use some of the credit up?0

Edit: although the OP says her mother still has card meters"Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100 -
