Since I dont know when I have wanted a ginger cat. In the past 4 days this ginger and white cat has arrived in our back garden. S/he goes off but always comes back to our garden or next doors. Now in the last 2 days he has been creaping indoors and steeling Thomas' food. The problem is this cat has no collar, is realy thin and we think (from what we can see has a lump on his face). Obviously we dont want to take the cat to the vet, if we can even catch it, if its not a stray. No lost cat signs have been put up in the area.

We live on an estate with two streets behind us, one to the side and a further three to the opposite side. There are other house's but these are the nearest streets. I have thought about getting some notes printed and pushing them through everyones doors to see if the cat belongs to them  Good idea? Or would you just call the local cats home? The cat could be chiped?

See if there are some local animal charities.
