Ryanair online check in

Hi, does anyone know if you check in online do you have to print your documents there and then or can you go back at a later point and print them, the reason i ask is i dont have a printer, so i was going to do all the online checking in and then forward to someone else to print out boarding cards etc, would this be possible ? thanks

From the FAQs on their website:

Once a passenger has checked in online (up to 4 hours prior to the scheduled flight time) the boarding pass can be reprinted up to 40 minutes before scheduled flight departure time

just checked but you have to pay a fee if you do this as its classed as a lost boarding pass, any other ways round it ?

It's only a lost boarding pass if you show up at the airport without it. Mind you, I don't think there's any benefit to checking in online early with Ryanair so you may as well wait until you're at your friend's house with the printer.

Another option is to install a PDF writer (e.g. http://www.dopdf.com/) - this will appear as a "printer" on your system but will produce a PDF file when you print to it. So you can "print" your boarding cards to a PDF file and then email the PDF file to your friend to print.

Check-in fully online & then Re-print your boarding pass later, no problem -no charge.

If you try to check-in again on-line it gives you the option to re-print your boarding pass.

Totally agree about the PDF writer, one of the most useful pieces of software
you can have. I always take a PDF back-up of any travel bookings. You can always e-mail them to yourself so they can be accessed anywhere later from
    anywhere.
