Cancelling Vodafone discounted contract
I renewed my Vodafone contract at the beginning of the year and instead of a new handset i took up a 50% discount on a 12 month contract. I now want to cancel the contract (6 months remaining) but they are charging the 6 months at the full rate.
Has anyone else experienced this problem? I was told at the beginning of ther contract that I would be paying 50%, so i feel I should only have to pay that for the last 6 months...as if the contract carried on that is all I would be liable for.
They don't appear able to show me anywhere that states this is the Terms and conditions so seems a bit of a grey area.
Thanks

Hi hhslat,
It's a shame to hear that you're looking to cancel, can I ask why?
If you'd like to discuss this privately then just send us an email using the 'Contact us' form on the Vodafone website. When sending the email could you state 'FAO Web Relations Team' in the subject bar and within the body of the email include the URL for this thread and the code FIT135.
Once we've got it we'll then be able to get back to you directly.
In regard to the discount I'm able to confirm that you'd still be entitled to this on the basis that continued with the agreement. However, as you're currently looking to cancel you would effectively forfeit this.
Thanks,
Lee
