Selfish &*%*&%*%

I'm so angry that I just had to share it with someone.

I've just walked to Tesco to buy some milk and on my way home I heard a siren. I looked up to see a police car speeding towards me with 2 cars infront of it. Neither of these 2 cars had the decency to pull over or stop, but just carried on as if nothing was happening.
All 3 cars were approaching a roundabout and because of the selfish, self-absorbed attitude of the 'normal' cars the police car was forced to drive on the opposite side of the road at the roundabout and round a blind corner.

What on earth is wrong with people????!!

  • I know. Very annoying. Some people just think their exempt from the Highway Code - especially when it comes to overtaking cyclists!

    Thanks.

I just needed to moan. I used to live in the Middle East and always got upset when I saw an ambulance blocked in by traffic and no one would move a inch.

It wouldn't have slowed these people down more than a few seconds and there was just no need for it.
  • Saw something similar today. All the cars pulled over, and the car behind us carried on past with the police car following. He was 3 or 4 cars down the line before he pulled in.

I see really bad driving every day, but to me there is nothing worse than not pulling over for a vehicle with a siren on.

I've just been getting frustrated lately about how selfish people can be and that was the final straw.
If I could have I'd have run after the drivers, but I wasn't wearing the best bra for running. Instead I had to stand on the pavement pointlessly shaking my fist in their vague direction.

I think people either don't hear/see them (which is worrying really) or just don't care.

I was driving along a road last week and spotted an ambulance behind the car behind me so started to slow down as we were approaching a bend. The car behind me didn't slow down and just kept up my !!!! oblivious to the flashing lights behind them! I think they finally noticed when it overtook them...obviously weren't using their mirrors at all.

most of the police drive stupidly and without consideration for any other road users

when they come to a red light they are suppose to slow and check the way is clear not go full speed through the junction in question.

hence the reason why so many police cars have accidents
