That is a lot of money to get through even with the list of things it was spent on that you have given.

Some will be ok and I think some will not.

It would be best to get advice from a welfare rights officer on this, they can be found at the CAB, Local Council and at Disability organizations such as DIAL.
  • I know it sounds a lot but I have receipts for everything from a bus/train ticket to a taxifare or lollipop. I also have an Adjusment Disorder which means I find change difficult to deal with & PTSD. I haven't yet mentioned this yet but wondering if they will take this into account if I can obtain a report from my Psychologist. Thank you.

That is a terrifyingly large amount of money to have spent in 9 months, in fact almost £9K per month. If this is not a wind up then I really hope you don't get benefits reinstated. Sell some of the stuff you frittered the money on to pay your way.

I should have quoted the OP, I usually do but as it was the first reply I did not this time.

For those interested the OP has blown £80,000 in less than a year and were not happy that there was a decision that they have deprived themselves of capital when wanting to claim means tested benefits.

    Wow.... Is this a wind-up?
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

Many people have spent £80k in a year, a house or total household income but not peed it in the wind then begged for handouts and cried that they would be homeless if HB didnt pay up in 2 weeks.
