We (reluctantly) bought one from Argos (see here) and the TV fits on top nicely.

The stand that was included was very low and we'd not have been able to fit our DVD/VCR, satellite receiver and Freeview box underneath.

having owned one of these for a while i can highly recommend it,very good picture and easy set up.£130 is an great price with or without stand.

phillips produce the tubes for many other large manufacturers aswell as themselves so know there stuff so it should be reliable.

ok its not hdtv ready or lcd but it will be fine for a few years and by then the quality(higher) and price(lower) of lcds will be much better.
  • I've just ordered one, I do hope it comes with a stand. I don't fancy trying to track one down. If anyone else can confirm how theirs arrived I would appreciate it?

I got one of these tv's last week and it came with a stand. The box which mine came in had the space for the stand so i guess all these tv's from comet should come with a stand.

Anyway it certainly a bargain and i thoroughly recommended it
  • It says out of stock for all the postcodes I've tried :-s

Received my set (including stand) from Comet on Tuesday. Generally very pleased with it apart from a sound problem (buzzing/feedback) when I connect my PC up to watch DVDs or HDD files on TV (using either scart or AV input). Have not had a problem previously (even with a small TV that is now over 25 years old!). Have e-mailed Philips to find out if there is a solution to this problem.

Having ordered this from Comet to be delivered on Monday, I opened my Makro Mial this morning to see the very same model on sale from 26th April at £99.99 + VAT. ie £117.49...........£12.50 cheaper than Comet. Damn !!
So if you weren't able to get one from Comet, here's your chance.
    Good luck
  • Well it's a very good buy. If you need/want a TV and you are not that worried about its physical size then i'd say go for it. Much better than a cheap(ish) crappy lcd. Forget about trying to be "up to date" and get a great telly :D
