All screen sizes are deceptive and the actual size is always smaller than the 'headline figure'.

Mine arrived today. Shame that Comet didn't call me to arrange delivery (as per what the receipt said) as today's delivery has caused problems here... *Grumbles*

It's still in the box, due to - hmm - disagreements within the family, but yes, it did come with a stand like in this picture: http://www.comparestoreprices.co.uk/images/ph/philips-24pw6518.jpg.

Bought one of these about 15 months ago for over £300 quid from Comet... excellent tv, bought if for the spare bedroom and gaming. Great picture, sound... highly recommend at this price its an absolute steal!

Quite heavy and chunky as its a crt but for a bedroom/spare room its perfect.

The screen is pure flat, btw. I had bought a 20" lcd and ended up taking it back - the PQ on this was miles better.
Smile and be happy, things can usually get worse!
  • Hi Sounds a good buy, but can anyone tell me will this not work when they trun analogue signal off, and is it next year when they do that?
    thanks

It will work just fine. You'll just need a £30 digibox to get the digital channels.

Reading some of the comments above...What do people want for £129.99!?!?!

I bought a previous version, maybe the Philips 24PW6515, about 5 or 6 years ago when I'm sure it was over £400. I has been a cracking TV, I still love the picture even though it is now secondary to a Panasonic 32"
