I just called telewest to downgrade my extortionate broadband from 4meg (£25/month) to 2meg (£17.99/month) ... the woman said to me "would you like to stay on 4meg for £17.99, for the next 3 months?" YES!!! Aparerently its some promotion they're doing this month. I only have broadband, no other telewest service.
You might like to call them and try the same thing - 0800 9530002.

Yes, this is an offer they have on at the moment.. 2mb customers can try 4mb for 3 months at no extra cost. So if you're on 4mb already, downgrade to the cheaper 2mb service, then take advantage of the 4mb trial for 3 months! You will automatically be put back to regular 4mb after the trial, at its normal price.
