This is welcome news to me as my partner and I have been saving all our 20ps for about a month now - will have a sift through tonight and fingers crossed I'll be lucky!!
TWBM 2010 Wishlist: 1. Nintendo Wii 2. An MP3 Player for my Boyfriend 3. Some nice food!
Read the story about this in the Daily Mail this morning. My son and I both svae outr 20ps in a jar and bank them once a year. We have two with no date. I think we would be very foolish to trade them in for £50 each. I think we will get a better deal keeping them for a couple of years and then selling to collectors.
cant help thinking this is a rouse by London Mint (this firm, afaik, are not related to the official Royal Mint..) to boost trade.. if they are offering £50, what are THEY likely to sell on for?
also, there is nothing (yet) about this on the official site, at all..
i dont think the RM would (or could) pay way OTT to get said coins back, even if they did exist..
Long time away from MSE, been dealing real life stuff..

Well, I still need to check my coin jar to see if I have any luck, but instead of selling it to London Mint it may be worth selling it on eBay... I just looked and some are selling for over £190 !!!
