Barcelona is wonderful - you have good taste
And comping is something else on my long term list to get involved in - only problem being is that it would take time away from diary reading......

The last time I was in BArcelona (& I've only been about 3 times) I heard a fellow Brit say to his wife - You've heard of Barcelona - Manuel comes from here  -and he was being serious
No wonder we get a bad name abroad......

Only me...
Yet again, I don't have much MSE activity to report, although I am much more aware of what I am spending and where all the pennies are going.... I have abandoned the weekly spend challenge as i couldn't decide what should be included and what shouldn't so have reverted back to my own grocery challenge of £60 a week.. (previously this included our weekend wine, i'm now not including this but will include top up shops for milk, veg etc..) So max should be £80 including the vino..
Overtime scuppered due to inconsideration of bosses requiring me to attend courses and meetings.. but should be out tomorrow and hope to notch up another 2 at least this week.. although that only makes 3 so far for the month and I was aiming at 10 visits... ho hum... still its only the 14th...
Was intending to do some ebaying today, but pictures I took were awful... camera trouble or wobbly hands.. not sure... work camera so will have to investigate before I take some more.. only got 2 items listed at the moment. Have been paid for all sold now, so got just under £50 in the ebay pot for cc's... Still doing £1 a day, when I have a spare one.. DD's b.day presies are all sorted bar 2 little one's that I shall track down this week and money put aside for food shop for party at the weekend....
Done some more comps, not won any more though.. boo......
Probably think of loads of other things i've done after i've submitted this, but got to do school run now......................................AFD - J 19 J 11 A 2 S 10 Oct 6 N 0/?

Just finished reading you diary - you seem to doing well with everything under control!
I'm joining your challenge of reducing my debt by 10% by Christmas - not sure if I can actually do this but it's a goal and I'm going to try really hard (10% works out to be about £3650 so it's similar to your goal).LBM 11 July 09
July 09: cc1 £1882, cc2 £1574, cc3 £8100, loan1 £2543, loan 2 £22517, total debt £36616 _pale_

Hi
Hope u dont mind, but popped by for a read of ur diary we keep crossing on another thread.
Your doing really well in all directions, the way I look at it, is its not just the debt thats gets repaid, its as much where the money goes, and what we do or dont with it.
Ok, you might not get as much overtime as planned, but then you seem to be very productive with ebaying, comping etc, so ur doing well.
Like you say 10% of ur debt sounds very reasonable, you've still got to have a life as well.
Like the idea of the big shop with the mini tops up, that way at least the freezer gets some food used out of it.
Good luck with everything xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
:hello:Hello to me.. and anyone else who has accidentially wandered into my world... your very welcome..
Thanks mum2one for your good wishes, its very motivating.
Thanks also to KatieShopstoomuch.. that's a bit of a mouthful..maybe you should be KSTM and I'll be T2GU... I try and enter as many competitons as I can and have a reasonable amount of success, approximately 2 a month, but since becoming rather addictive to MSEI have entered less and won less.. boo.... I do have an addictive personality and will now try to wean myself off this site, at least to give myself enough time to enter those comps....in a minute maybe....
not so good...nice to see you visited me, I haven't updated my sig yet with regards to the 10% challenge as until I get my next bills (and have ceased card use..) I can't tell what i'm naturally reducing with min payments.. Any extra I have earnt/saved through July I will add to my next payments then I can hopefully do some calculations and change that 0 to a nicer figure...!! Good luck.. x
Today I have done an overtime visit.. hurrah, that makes 2 for July... camera appears dodgy, will work on that one so I can ebay some more bits and bobs later in the week..
Went to my Fav shop today.. Waitrose... and only bought what I went in to particularly buy.. (presie for DD..) how controlled is that...!!!!!:D
Getting the food lists (yep lists) ready for Friday, I need to do a normal shop for the house and a party food shop for DD's B.day...
I decided to run my grocery spend from Monday to Sunday inclusive, won't be including the party food shop as that's got its own budget.... Hopefully won't need any more top-ups from the shops until Friday, which leaves me £45 for the food, not including the vino... (£20) seperate for that.. bought loads of cleaning products last week, so hope I can stay within budget..
I have also moved my holiday around, more MSE in a bizarre way - cheaper flights on alternative days.. so have had to re-arrange childcare but that's now sorted :T roll on august, although i won't be pledging as many Alcohol Free Days that month...!!!
Off to do some comps... byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeAFD - J 19 J 11 A 2 S 10 Oct 6 N 0/?
