I am currently with BT on option 3. After having troublesome phone calls to them yesterday as my internet light was not on my hub.
They say my hub is broken, they say that because my 1 year warranty ran out last year, so to get a replacement hub they want me to pay for it!!!!
I pay out about £30 ish a month, i don't download anything from the net, just use it for facebook, forums and my children to play cbeebies.
I am sure i am paying way over the top, but i do want reliable service...
anyone got a good BB provider with a free wireless router offer??

You could check out the Plusnet Value offer which is 5.99 a month if you are on a market 3 exchange. This is fine for the kind of internet usage you describe. There is also the possiblility of some cashback if you sign up via quidco or topcashback.

it says not a lot!
LLU operator presence says only talktalk, orange and C&W, everything else is not available
Does it say your exchange is a market level 3 one? (The ofcom rating bottom right of the page).0 -
Ofcom Classification
Market 3
Four or more 'principal' operators provide broadband services at this exchange. Service in this area has been deregulated!
what does that mean? sorry if im being really stupid here0 -

The bottom line means being on a market 3 exchange, you can get the cheapest broadband deals because the exchange has been deregulated. Sam Knows explains a bit more...

You don't need to restrict yourself to LLU providers because other ISPs that use BT lines can offer cheap deals too. Like Plusnet at 5.99 a month.0
