Feedback reminders

Why can buyers not send sellers feedback reminders?

Before anyone starts - I'm categorically not one of those people who is obsessed with feedback! My stance on the matter is that if a transaction has gone well all round then it's polite to leave it - it's the eBay equivalent of saying 'thank you' - and of course if you have been royally screwed over then it's always nice to leave negative feedback as a warning to others. But as has been stated thousands of times, it's not obligatory.

However! I bought an item recently and haven't left feedback as I haven't had the opportunity to test the item. Bear in mind when I say 'recently' I mean I've had said item for three days since it arrived. The seller's sent me three feedback reminders, one every day! Note that the seller hasn't left me feedback for paying instantly, oh no, the seller wants me to leave feedback first. Now fair enough, they may want to avoid feedback extortion or whatever (which wouldn't happen because as it happens I'm happy with the item and I'm also not a complete !!!!!!*). But seriously, THREE reminders? I want to send them back just to see if they get the hint. I won't be leaving feedback now just because it's annoyed me so much.

Why can't people just be patient? I've literally left twice as much feedback as I've received, but have I ever pestered anyone for all that missing feedback? No, I've merely tutted like an old woman for a split second and then got on with my life!

(*But I can be quite petty when aggravated!)

I think most ebayers have had this at some time

Feedback is discretionary so maybe dont leave any ?
Are they a newbie desperate to get a reputation ?
"Very funny, Scotty. Now beam down my clothes."

All truth goes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Then, it is violently opposed. Finally, it is accepted as self-evident.

I can understand your frustration, maybe they're a bit dim and have sent them to other buyers not realising they've been sending them to all of you each time?

I sold an item about 2 months ago and never got feedback, i doubt i could even request the feedback now (can't remember the time limits) but i'm really miffed that they didn't bother to leave any. I never sent a reminder but i wish i had!

I've had rude messages asking me reallyunpolitely why havn't i paid for an auction I won 4 hours before. "I need payment now" I was so shocked. I wanted to leave really bad feedback but I just had to let it go over my head and just said thanks.

No it's not that's the thing- it's like those surveys you get sometimes when you've bought from someplace... you know- the ones that usually get instantly deleted. ;)
This is my opinion. There are many others like it but this is mine

I am a professional ebay seller. I work hard at my job, I love my job, if you think it's silly that's your problem not mine. :p

Leave them a neutral saying "not tested item yet, but seller kept harrassing me for feedback, so her it is!"
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

i agree this really annoys me, as a seller i leave feedback once payment is received. this may make me nieve but their side of the transaction is complete. i have had this recently and responded stating i still haven't had feedback either, and although slightly tit for tat ( well fully!) they still haven't left me feedback for my smooth completion of transaction. oh well it's another job not to complete!
