Help with stolen hotmail account

I do hope someone can help me with this, I'm at my wits end. My hotmail account has been stolen. I am not able to log in and when I try to change my password the secret question has been changed to something in foreign language, which I cant even understand let alone try to answer. The option to send a reminder to my e-mail only lists the e-mail I can’t access. I’ve tried e-mailing MSN and the techie team at Microsoft giving an alternate e-mail address but not heard anything back from them. This all happened on Friday when I was trying to send an e-mail to the abuse team about strange messages in my sent items that I know I didn’t send. Can anyone help? I have probably not given all the information that’s needed but although I can find my way around PCs for everyday use I’m limited in my knowledge. :mad:

have you tried converting the language on it to english, if not post the question here.

Thanks for aswering, its great to know there are caring people out there. I don't even know what language the secret question is to try and get a translation.

Thanks I've now tried so many first pet names I've been blocked from trying again. I'm sure that would not have been the question I set anyway. Any more ideas please?

Not a silly question, I was starting to doubt myself! I know it is the right one and also I was using it though outlook and its not working either, just get error messages when it tries to connect.

just a thought i dont know if hotmail/live mail does this (never tried) but do they send a email to your alternative email address

Yes they do seem to do that but an alternate e-mail needs to be registered previously and I didn't (duh!) so the only e-mail they will send a new password to is the one I can't get into!
