  • As the owner of Bathrooms365 I'm delighted that you are discussing whether to use us or not and delighted to hear the small feedback we have received is complimentary. I hope you found your delivery of Crosswater taps satisfactory wildc1 and I'm sorry we were not competitive enough on the sanitaryware. This was I believe due to our delivery costs, the area which causes me sleepless nights!! The reason we charge £42.50 is because unlike 95% of bathroom retailers that sell also online, we handle all our customer products. This allows us to check the quality of these items before sending them off to our customers via our 2 man home delivery company we use. We could do it cheaper and therefore offer free delivery, primarily by asking the likes of PTS to deliver on are behalf, but our USP's would disappear (organised single delivery days and allocated delivery times, 100% perfect items and a delivery team that take all items into your house to a room of your choice rather than dumping them outside your house etc). Also from being the largest UK independent bathroom retailer of Ideal Standard etc we would become one of PTS's largest customers instead, which is fine but not much use if our customer's require us to sort out an issue with the manufacturer as we would have no clout. This is a real issue for many of our online counterparts - they are not recognised by the manufacturer.

    Hi Paul - thank you for your post on here - apologies for not replying sooner. Don't worry, I didn't take it as a sales pitch, and if anything I would order from you again because of your response on here.

    I picked up the crosswater items from the post office today (I was out when they were delivered on Friday) and they're great - thanks.

    I definitely think you should put your USPs on your landing page of your website as this may persuade some 'dithering' customers (like I was!) to come with you instead of the competition.

    Yes, it is a real shame that your delivery cost was so high as this helped swing it for me to get the pottery from PTS.

    One thing that did make me slightly wary of buying from yourself was that 'BATHROOMS 365 ARE UNABLE TO ACCEPT CLAIMS FOR SHORTAGES AFTER THE TRANSPORT TEAM HAVE LEFT.' and

    'With regards checking the quality of the products, we request that this is done within 48 hours of delivery. (copied and pasted these from your website)

    This made me slightly nervous because when I was redoing my ensuite last year, PTS delivered the suite into my dining room for safekeeping until my plumber arrived a few days later to unpack it and fit it.

    I was planning to do the same thing this time and felt nervous odering in case something was missing or broken and didn't check it within the timescales. I can understand why you do it, and some could argue that it'snot hard to look for cracks in the pottery etc, but when my plumber was fitting the sn-suite, it was him who noticed that there was a manufacturing error as part of the toilet had not be glazed and he only noticed it when he turned up to install it about 4 days after delivery. (I missed the fault when I checked the pottery over for cracks / faults etc)

    So to summarise it's the delivery cost and the timescales for checking items which made me slightly nervous, but your post has gone a long way to give me faith. And the crosswater items are fantastic with speedy delivery.

    On a similar note, I need to redo my main bathroom next year, so if Ican approach you directly, maybe we could negotiate on delivery costs!
