    Afternoon all,

Lovely day here to-day again, need to water front garden to-day....am trying to soak one half each day to save on water, not sure if its enough...haven't had any of the thunder showers that were promised so will have to keep going.

Haribo....your exploits with OH and the boat sound wonderful....I find myself convulsed with laughter when OH tries the impossible...we used to have sheep and he used to get sooooo mad when we were trying to move them anywhere, and would then shout at me as I rolled on the ground laughing...thanks for the laugh, needed it today.

OH grumbled about dinner ( too much, steak overcooked) so much yesterday that I told him this morning to get himself something for dinner as my cooking is no longer satisfactory....so don't know what we are having as I haven't done anything either...might roast a chicken in a while, need to bake bread for DD3.

Hope that you all have a nice day in the sun

    Morning all :)

more marking all day for me :( The syllabus is so different this year.

Asda delivery coming this evening, no idea where OH is going to put it all :) I'm at work so he'll have to deal with it all. There is no way half of it will go in the freezer compartment. And I forgot the raisins.

OH made rye bread last night from a packet mix and it was lovely :) Fishfingers for tea tonight for OH (veggie burgers for me)

I have to make cake for work as my industrial sponsors are coming to meet me for the first time next week. I am nervous about this, I don't know why.

I have gig tickets though :) That makes me happy (even though they are seated rather than standing). I just have to convince OH he is going to enjoy this :rotfl: I am trying to convince him he wants to go knebworth too, but am failing so far :) Metallica are playing there too :) I admit to looking to see if I could find a conference to go to in tokyo (then work would pay the flights) but nothing I can swing as relevant to my work! :)

have a good day all, celx

  • Hi

Warm muggy day here today. DS is driving us both barmy so OH has taken him off for a drive to take some computer parts to his mates. DS is supposed to be going on a school trip tomorrow to the city centre and cinema and art gallery.....he is staying at home with me instead as he just will not cope with that and it wont be safe for him if he has a meltdown and the staff cant deal with it......I will prob have a migraine again tomorrow now with DS flapping all day but I`d rather he was here annoying me than in trouble in the city..at least I will know he is safe....hmph inclusion eh:rolleyes:
Still having migraines....didnt have one all day yesterday and was doing well until I got one last night after a "treat a la Hester";):o....I knew it would happen and it wasnt my idea.....wont be trying that again for a bit:rolleyes:;).:naughty:
DS has taken to getting up on his own in the night and escaping from the stairgates we have on his door to protect him.....he has been found downstairs watching the news at 4am for last 2 mornings....seeing what is happening with Michael Jackson:confused:he is waiting to see a picture of him dead:eek:...that aint happening..the news seems to be his latest thing...he tells us over and over what time each news programme starts and ends etc....its like living with Trevor MacDonald at the moment
Rolled lamb shoulder for tea later with roasties and veg.
Must put a loaf in soon.
My brocolli is finally coming in the middle of the leaves:Tlots of flowers on the toms but no toms yet.....may have to try the paintbrush method.
    Hugs to all in need.
Has anyone seen D&DD on here recently?

    evening all!

not long back from a long day at work(Diva - I'm having some me time surfing;))
I met a fascinating woman at work today - she is a blind polish student who wants to be a clinical psychologist and has a placement with us for 3 months. She really is amazing and has found her way all over town alone(had to leave her guide dog behind in Poland)- memorising the routes. we introduced her to her first roast beef lunch and she loved it especially the yorkshire puddings. She is actually the only person in Poland with a guide dog and she had to get hers from America. I am looking forward to spending more time with her before she goes to Birmingham University. She really is an inspiration.

PP - hope you're feeling ok today x

Halight - glad the party went well. Happy Birthday to the girls:bdaycake:

Tonight DH is having his first peas from the garden - if there's any left to make it on the plate:rolleyes::D with some of his own new pots.

Have just done a bit of ironing and thats it for me today - need a rest.

    Take care all x

  • Hi Everyone.

Seems like ages since I've been here. I'm still pretty much doing the OS way of life here. I just don't seem to have energy for very much lately.

Tomorrow I'm off to get a belt for the mower. I have no idea what happened but last week parts of the belt came flying out from underneath. I didn't run over a branch, rock or anything so who knows? The garden looks horrible right now. The borders need weeding, grass cutting etc. I did manage to get all the weeds out of the rock garden and I'm contemplating what to plant in there now. I am going to put some early spring bulbs in this fall but need something to keep the soil anchored through the summer. Hopefully the weather will be nice tomorrow so I can spend the day out there.

Our daughters and their 3 furbabies (doggies) have spent the last 3 or 4 weekends with us which has been lovely, if a bit tiring. Last night we kept the grandfurchildren while the girls went to see Blood Brothers. They had a good time and we had a good time playing with the poochies.

Not much else going on here. Just contemplating if 8pm is too early to go to bed since I had a 2 hour nap earlier.

Take care everyone and please know that whether I manage to get here or not, I think of you all often.

    Hugs,

    Peyton xxx
