Just got back from my local T's and it wasnt a happy experience. Went to a young girl on the till to pay, totted up my shopping then I handed her my MOCs, she then said 'Oh Im not sure which I can use' so she then sent for a 'trout' who came and asked if I had bought any of the products on the MOCs the SA said no I dont think so, so the 'trout' said to me that I could only use 1 MOC, I showed her the policy I copied and she said this isnt Tescos policy, I said it was, anyway 3 others got involved (the Duty Manager wasnt there today) and they all said the same. One of them had a go at the young girl serving me accusing her of not doing her training properly......she was not happy!!! And that same 'manager' said to me its always been their policy to only allow 1 coupon for a shop, to which I said 'Thats not true as Ive used them for past 3wks and had no problems', she virtually called me a liar - !!!!!!!!!:D

Is it worth ringing my local T's tomorrow to get the policy clarified or should I put it down to experience and either try again or not bother trying to use MOCs??????
Opinions are like ar*eholes - everybody has one!!!! :D

dont give up, we.ve all had it happen, when you go back, head held up high and smile on face. hand over a few at a time when lst lot been taken say "oh i got these as well might as well use them," I find that sometimes help, it you get negative response next time, take your "letter" to customer services and ask them to fone head office and confirn their policy. hope this helps a little. :D

    Great advice Gill

my Mr T's has 1 particular supervisor who hates coupons.

I avoid her like the plague. I still use this Tesco's but if I see her near the tills I wait till she is doing something before putting anything on a conveyor belt.

Its all about persistance I suppose, just go back and try again.

    Newbie alert...

Buoyed my my first ever coupon shop in tesco last weekend, I visited a different tesco after work (closer to my work) to buy some booze and tasty bites for tonight!!:D

My coupons were not accepted at the checkout where I was directed to customer service desk. The assistant said she had never heard of such 'national coupon policy' (i showed her) and called manager. He rudely grunted:mad: 'managers discretion' and wouldn't accept any...not even the finish rinse-aid!

I am now deflated and dreading my weekend shop:o. Is this normal in some stores? Is it just hit and miss? What would you all have said??

    tia

I had this problem with Tesco in Canock
they refused all my coupons so i emailed head office, i complained how they made me feel like a criminal and i had genuine internet coupons, and could validate with safecoupons.
got a lovely reply a £5 gift card and they said they would 'educate' Canock branch on the national coupon policy !
