yes, you will need to spend £30 in tesco's altho it won't normally scan and you will need to go to CS to redeem it, I have had to do this before but they didn't check my receIpt alto I did spend the £30 you may get away with it! IYSWIM...;)

Just back from Mr T's where I had yet another run in. Young girl who scanned my coupons refused point blank to manually enter the barcode's for the non-scanners. I asked her why she wouldn't do it and she said she was not allowed too!!! She would have to get a manager :rolleyes:

Well that scared me lol, I couldn't face another "show-down" so to speak I'm still recovering from the other day So off I went to CS. There I had a "stand-off" with two CS staff.

One said "No such thing as a coupon policy", the other said "Yes there is but you have to BUY the item!!" I said "No you don't" she said "Yes you did" etc etc

She gave up literally and said "Oh I am fed up with these bloody coupons, it changes one minute to the next, I'm calling a Manager"

Along comes the CS Manager. I had saw him before when I first started this and he refunded me the MOCS and said he would re-train the staff.

Oh what a breath of fresh air he was

He said "I do apologise for this, I remember you from before (I went very red at this point) I did re-train the staff and told them our coupon policy. Give me your coupons please"

He scanned my coupons and then asked me if I had a clubcard. I gave him it and he put 100 points on as a ways of an apology.
I couldn't believe it. He was so so nice, far nicer than th DM I got the other day - more interested in you as a customer.

Does anyone else notice that if you approach CS some of them cannot even say Hello? I think some of the manners are terrible :eek:

I think gill was asking as this store seems like a pain in the bum to go to. They will scrutinise every detail.

For example they may not like you givign 40 scraps of paper.. and try limit you to 5.. or they may not like the BOGOF coupon (4.99 purina one) or other % coupons off.

Also you might use your maiden name or..... more likely you only have cash on you and no id even you cc fob is not named.

Then your coupons will be denied if you have no id with you. Even if they are in your name.

as I shouldn't be getting my shopping for next to nothing:o

Well IF the MOC becomes national in that they DON't take then any longer I will be skipping back to Asda & any other store that has deals/bargains. T has the edge over my other supermarkets by taking MOC. Stop that & there is no longer any need to shop there on purpose IYKWIM.

The same goes for me. I have stopped going to every store I used to get good deals and do all my shopping at Tesco's using coupons. If they stop it I won't be going there as much and certainly will not do all my shopping there. Lidol, Netto and Aldi will be glad to get my business back!

Snap, I will shop where I can get a bargain if Mr T's stop taking coupons.

I don't think they realise just how much us couponers spend in their stores, Ok with a lot paid for by coupons, but they do recover this money (plus a bit extra for the service) from the various manufacturers.


We will have to see how things change as suddenly more and more people are having problems using coupons.


I got trouted today and told I was abusing the coupon policy as I tried to use 4 coupons totalling £1.70 and I intend to email Terry Leahy on Monday to complain.
