There is a massive logo promotion on the front of the fajita kits ( had them last night, quite delish ) so unless it has the promo logo I will not be buying.

Cheapest kits in Morrisons or Co Op BTW so buy up whilst you can & save the MOC to buy the chicken & peppers in Tesco :T

thanks, i know the fajita and nachos have the mocs in them, but i was just wondering about the others, as i try and plan my shopping before i go to T's so i know how many moc's to take :rotfl: :rotfl:

Hi guys - just to let you know that the 10% stuff has reared its ugly head again. Yesterday I did a shop where I produced £27 mocs off a £60ish shop (including extra points perfume etc) which is why it was a bit more than I would usually spend in one go. Mocs accepted ok. This morning OH was told 10% rule is being applied - new rule up on notice board - as of today. He explained HO policy etc but no go. If this IS policy I for one will be taking my £6000+ annual spend to Asda. Goodbye Mr T - it was great while it lasted but your loss will be Asdas gain. (Yes, I know Mr T won't miss my small drop in the ocean of spending but Asda has some great specials on at the moment so hopefully that will make up a bit for not being able to use mocs). Rant over!!

What I find annoying is if the store isnt consistent with the policy. Me and my O/H both went in on Sunday (separate trolleys and armed with a few MOCs) I got served and the SA took all my MOCs (about £4 worth) with no questions asked etc, but my O/Hs SA just looked at one and said no we dont take them???????

I wish all SAs were singing from the same sheet

I am now on my third attempt at using MOCs (and third store too) and once again had many of them refused. The SA was very nice about it though and said that she had been told to only accept a few per transaction and that she did not want to get in trouble. I quoted the national policy and showed her a print out of the email which clearly shows the conditions.

She called over the checkout supervisor to check what she was allowed to put through. The checkout supervisor read the email and agreed that it said to allow through all the coupons that I had as none were duplicate and all were in date, however, she wanted to double check with someone else so off we went to the customer service desk. Another SA (didn't appear to be customer services manager or anything) had a look and said no we only take 10%, you cannot use all of those coupons as it is like we are letting you have your shopping for free. I reminded them that the coupons get redeemed and Tesco are not out of pocket on this.

Then lots of waiting around for another manager to come out, duty manager perhaps, I didn't see a name/title badge but when used to work at Tesco the store manager always wore a proper suit not a uniform one. Anyway, he had a look at the email too and concurred that according to that I could use all my coupons even though they usually only allow 10%. I let him keep the email and he said he would check it out with head office to see what the correct policy is as he had not encountered this issue before.

All MOCs then scanned through so got about £11 off an £18 shop. The manager did say that I should be prepared to be challenged again next time as it was not commonplace to use so many MOCs and they would rather not have lots of customers catch on to this way of paying for their shopping.

So, a big thank you to all here for providing the information and the MOCs which gave be the confidence to not allow them to brush me aside with a "no we don't take those" attitude.

Oh i've heard it all form inside each store and across stores. Also, what gets me is that i have had to put up with very very rude Tesco staff, there customer services is far from humane; I did find one trhe other day who actually apoligised for causing me so much grief with not knowing the policy, but i have met lots who just walk, give you a dirty look or adopt a vendeta against you.

A breath of fresh air is that i went into Asda and Sainsburys the other day and was shocked when the staff and customer services were so nice, yes i was shocked, not used to such treatment....
