    Long post follows! Sorry!

I want to start by apologising for inadvertently stirring up a hornets nest. It wasn’t my intention to create an uncomfortable atmosphere in the thread. In reality, all I actually wanted was for the thread to resemble the way it has been for the last several successful months (chat and coupons, side-by-side in harmony :A).

The only slight change I was hoping for was a small decrease in the very recent trend of kinda unnecessary/unrelated/random posts. But I wasn’t trying to be the chat-police, and I didn’t want to think that others would take up that role either. It was my hope that each individual would use their own conscience and decide for themselves.

So, for what it’s worth, I am happy for the thread to be coupons AND chat. The idea of posting important stuff in BLUE will certainly help me when updating the first page every day. And if I am able (as I usually try to) to keep the first page updated, then people should technically be able to get what info they need from there (if they prefer not to read the new posts).

It’s probably still a good idea to keep Veggiecar’s techie thread (thanks so much for this Veggie!!), simply because it keeps all the relevant info on Couponnet problems all in the one place.

If people want to keep the current separate thread for drivel then that’s a personal choice. But I personally am happy to have chat (yes, even with a certain amount of drivel too!! :p) on the main thread.

We made it work for several months, didn’t we? I’m sure we can get back to that status quo again. This thread (version 7) was supposed to be a fresh start. Let’s make it a good one!! :j

    Thanks for reading!! ;)

With you all the way honey

AARRRGGHHH - your missing the point !!!! Please would someone read Honey's original request post. AARGGGHH It's not about two seperate threads it's about people just reining it in just a teeny bit. AARGGGH !

Right - my hair is now all over the floor after being torn out. I GIVE UP !!

I abosolutely agree with you Alena but I fear our opinion is being ignored by the few dictators who dominate this site. All I wanted was to support Lori's wishes of reigning the chat in a bit too (I love the coupon chat), but apparently the "good nights", "is anyone here", and "what I have had for tea" is a NOT drivel and absolutely crucial information for the general couponing fraternity..... and us attempting to support Lori's wishes is to be banished to the drivel thread.... ironic but true - cut your losses and give up while you are ahead...if you are not in with the 'gang' then you opinion doesn't count I am afraid.

    Let the flames begin....again...

    Hi All,

I'm sitting with the Daily Mail vouchers in front of me (the ones from Saturday) and was going to use the £2.50 off £10 spend on meat fish and poultry....you know the 3 for 10 meats at the end of the aisles? The barcode starts 99 but ends 2 0 0 9 (not the year that's the last four digits)...........doesn't this mean only £2.00 will come off the bill. I could go to customer services if it doesn't but I always feel a bit cringey when my recepit shows I paid for almost everything with coupons!! Anyone tried this coupon yet?

the meat one didn't scan at all for me so went cs and got a £2.50 refund altho I did notice that it should have scanned at £2.00 due to the barcode!

the health and beauty also ended 2009 but did indeed scan at 2.50 hth!:D

Hey i know all about flaming - someone told me what it was yesterday.

Can i ask you something...........What did YOU have for tea?

I do understand, as i left the Boots thread for that very reason. 5 pages discussing what shade of eye make-up to wear, when it was for bargains and glitches. But on that thread the first page is missing 9/10 of the bargains, so you have to read it all. The first page on this thread if bang up to date, thanks to Lori and others, and we need to help her maintain that and use a bit of common sense.

But a laugh is needed aswell when there are no new coupons for 5 days. We now have a good balance and as long as Lori and the crew are happy i am.

From Lori's post above, she is, so lets just move on and all be lovely, Lisa.

You HAVE checked google before asking, haven't you?;)
If you use the "search this thread" button at the top of the page, you may find it's been answered already!;)
