Cheers, BAAB, for the clarification and sorry if I misinterpreted what you wrote, although it wasn't directed primarily at your post. I just don't want to frighten off our newcomer or to make him feel any worse than he is probably already feeling.

Thank you RTB, but see the second post in this thread, i did nothing to make the OP feal unwelcome, and in my second post i stated, my reservations of PCso's because they dont appear to have the support they need, if anything it was maent sypathetacly.

As you state two poster, and the only other post is mine, i could only asume you got te wrong end of the stick.

Im sorry if im being a bit sensetive, but there is a bit more to the story, one of two parts, i actually met the lad that put my wife where she is now, he was on my property at past midnight with his 'gang' trying to pull the gate of its hinges, if i had done what i wanted to do to the little **** then she would not be where she is know, but i abided by the law, the 'law' in return then let me down.
Yes im bitter, i have good cause, but i do not blame the coppers on the beat, i blame the management above them, and i know most coppers will share my frustration.
Thats it, i am done, Blind-as-a-Bat has left the forum, for good this time, there is no way I can recover this account, as the password was random, and not recorded, and the email used no longer exits, nor can be recovered to recover the account, goodbye all …………. :(
  • Again, no worries BAAB. As I said, the initial post wasn't directed primarily at you and obviously since you clarified, etc., it's not now directed at you at all. I was conscious that it was the poster's first post and obviously empathise with his position and don't want him to be frightened off. I think that the nature of our discussion will reassure him that we really are a very decent bunch of individuals on here.

woah! didnt thought my occupation would cause so much uproar! thanks for the advice though I am currently in a IVA but I think what a load of people experience later on after taking out the iva is that the company you go through under budget you and change figures to get the iva agreed and then the debitor strugles thereafter in some cases including mine, I am behind in payments and the kind company offered to accept £406 a month for 24 months to catch up and then go back to £306 thereafter for another 24 months after all my outgoings have gone out this shows I am £330 over what I earn so dont really have much choice and there would be no chance of creditors agreeing to a variation of over £330 due to change in my partners income. In terms of my job at the end of the day its a job and it pays the bills.... well sort of !!:T

  • Richie, all the police look at is "can you be bribed" due to financial problems. As I said though, it's all done on an individual basis now. I know serving officers who are bankrupt. It used to be if you were overdrawn you were in trouble, but times are a changing!

Go for it, the worst thing that can happennis they knock you back.

  • Amen to your user name:p, it certainly has :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Ps your post was spot on too;), even though i have reserved views myself of PCSO's, for reasons of problems we have had round our way, they are still an improvement on no presance at all, just wish the PC's round here would get out of there cars, sirens blareing , and helicopter, that wakes me up at least 5 nights a week, to help them:rolleyes:

Before anyone gets anoyed at that, its less than a year since the police helicopter was brought in to trace some youth,s around here for stealing a half empty box of crisps from a local shop, yet when i, and dozens of other residents report a gang of youth's having gang warfare on our street, they send one car=2 police officers to sort out a gang off twenty ( an hour later i may add, by wich time they had scarpered)

hey bat it sounds like my area

Ah! Gotcha! Well, in my force, it would be a telling off by the bossman and a possible investigation into 'are you fit to carry on'. Good luck mate.

Management are management whatever the organisation BAAB! but yeah, I know what you mean about if you're bankrupt you're less likely to be bribed, but those were the old rules. As i said, it was a chargable offence to be overdrawn in the old days!!! It's more leniant now, well, in my force at least.
