Im not a 100% sure, but i believe the force in general removed that last year (ish) But you do need to let them know, and the details, so they can decide if it is a securaty issue, (or something like that)

I believe you can question your HR departmant through your union (if your a member) anonamously to check it out first;)

I do know of a couple of PC's that have gone BR with no problem though :)
Thats it, i am done, Blind-as-a-Bat has left the forum, for good this time, there is no way I can recover this account, as the password was random, and not recorded, and the email used no longer exits, nor can be recovered to recover the account, goodbye all …………. :(
  • Recently there was a thread called 'Are there certain jobs that are affected by bankruptcy' which covered precisely this topic. If you enter 'police bankruptcy' in the 'search text' box in the top right corner of this page, making sure that you have clicked on 'forums', you will find it. Sorry, I'm not sure how to link the thread but I'm sure somebody else will shortly. I think that the consensus was that individual forces operate different policies in this regard but there are certainly bankrupt police officers within the force according to some of the posts.

That's a helpful comment. If that's your opinion then let's hope you're never in need of the assistance of a PCSO. Because I'm sure you wouldn't like to be hypocritical

To the OP I am 99.9% sure I read on another BR forum that it wasn't a problem. Sorry I can't help more.

    .

Amen to your user name:p, it certainly has :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Ps your post was spot on too;), even though i have reserved views myself of PCSO's, for reasons of problems we have had round our way, they are still an improvement on no presance at all, just wish the PC's round here would get out of there cars, sirens blareing , and helicopter, that wakes me up at least 5 nights a week, to help them:rolleyes:

Before anyone gets anoyed at that, its less than a year since the police helicopter was brought in to trace some youth,s around here for stealing a half empty box of crisps from a local shop, yet when i, and dozens of other residents report a gang of youth's having gang warfare on our street, they send one car=2 police officers to sort out a gang off twenty ( an hour later i may add, by wich time they had scarpered)

  • Richie999 - being bankrupt does not stop an individual joining the police or becoming a PCSO, each case is treated on an individual basis (and I have no idea what that comment about 'ornamental copper' is about. I work with PCSO's and they're damn fine people.)

Blind-as-a-bat - keep ringing up the police when you have problms in your area. The more complaints they have, the more it becomes a problem. The police have targets to achieve and if they don't, (e.g a really high vandalism/anti social behaviour rate) they have to spend more time in an area to sort it out. hth!

  • Richie999, sorry about some of the comments that have been directed your way. A bit surprised by one or two of the posters, who are normally pretty sensible and a little more sensitive. I've found the following link, which provides a little more advice that may be relevant to your case:

Anyway, hope things work out for you and hopefully some of the info already posted has been of help. Keep posting and you'll soon see that most people on here are a really helpful and friendly bunch.

I hope that was not aimed at me RTB, if you read my post properly, it is the use of resources i have an issue with, not the lads n lasses on the ground, sorry if it did not come across the way i intended, but in defence, i have good reason to have a grudge about the police system (i stress SYSTEM not the police officers themselves) If they had given the resourses to protect my OH, she would still be in employment, instead of on anti D's and lsleeping tablets, and we would not be faceing a second BR in the family:(

Cheers, BAAB, for the clarification and sorry if I misinterpreted what you wrote, although it wasn't directed primarily at your post. I just don't want to frighten off our newcomer or to make him feel any worse than he is probably already feeling.
