    ^^ apparently not any more.

i ranted at the guy at royal mail on this point, how can they NOT keep a record of this info ?!?!

how many international signed for to greece did this little village post office make that day ???!

well whats the purpose of the record? whats the point in ranting at someone for a mistake you made?
    its just more filing/work
use a courier and they will link the address to the tracking number
then you can probably get them to check back their records, now how much would that cost?
  • well whats the purpose of the record?

to record where royal mail have sent items. we already know they have the info, as its accessible if you have a tracking number. there must be another way of searching for this info, which was obvious when the chap said they wouldn't, rather than couldn't.

the guy was not being very helpful at all, and was quite blunt with how he dealt with it (or didn't), so i chose that moment to make myself feel a little bit better about losing £65.

theres no need to 'check' unless theres a problem
if theres a problem then theres the tracking number that you are supplied with
  • be careful getting off that high horse there !

  • as if by magic, the same day i refunded the buyer £65 when i get home theres a card on the mat for a attempted delivery to my business return address. as i was not expecting any returns my hopes were high, and this morning i collected the watch in question.

the buyer had not collected it from the local depot, so whether or not he got a card through his door is anyones guess.

so i ended up losing a lot less, and tho i still did lose some cash i feel like the "saving" has contributed towards my new blu-ray player i just picked up !!

    happy day(s)
