I must admit I have beenon ebay for years and never had a credit card registered with them. I think by using that one plus other things you are seriously restricting your market0

You can select any figure from 0-5 so it is possible to block bidders with 0 feedback, right, but I see what you mean, that is possible only if you also select that they must have registered a credit card with ebay"Reaching out to touch the stars dont forget the flowers at your feet".0

I tend to agree. I opened a new buying account last year and wanted to buy a few bits and bobs but for at least a quarter of the items I wanted to bid on my bid was refused as I had no card registered. The account was only ever going to be a buying account so why would i need a card?
Frustrating when I saw many of the items went for opening bid or even didn't sell at all and when I knew I was happy to pay more, but cest La vie. I did use a different account to buy one thing, but couldn't be bothered with the rest of them.
Odd thing was though that the sellers that blocked me were mostly new themselves, I don't recall being blocked by anyone who had more than 100 or so feedback.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Do you think that just going through paypal is security enough then.I dont want to restrict my market. Its just this one possibly high value item I am a bit paranoid about."Reaching out to touch the stars dont forget the flowers at your feet".0

If you go through paypal and follow all the usual guidelines, tracked delivery etc you should be fine.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Thanks,I do value everyones advice and I am not so stubborn as stick to something when I am wrong so I edited the listing again based on your good advice.Just paranoid you are right.I have said payment via paypal and I already had registered post and airsure for worldwide so its covered with insurance. That should do."Reaching out to touch the stars dont forget the flowers at your feet".0

Don't forget to quote for compulsory additional insurance as well as airsure only covers up to £39. Also, (and this is just me being paranoid) I don't sell items over £39 overseas due to the amount of countries not covered by airsure. International signed for is worldwide but does not guarantee to track to a signature and so there is the possibility of problems with that and paypal.
Lastly, no phones of course as they aren't covered over £39 overseas at all.
Edit just to say that these are my rules for my own personal sales and show my own comfort levels. I am not saying they are right or even recommended, it's just what makes me comfortable.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Thanks I didnt realise that ,I have quoted for airsure thinking I was covered."Reaching out to touch the stars dont forget the flowers at your feet".0

Had a sudden run of zero feedback bidders not paying (I'm set to block if no paypal account) - bit of a pain, but not the end of the world as it's all low value stuff.
I would certainly be careful about my postal options if something sold for a lot - making sure I was adequately insured.0 -
I double checked the insurance cover for airsure and it only costa an extra £2.20 to cover it up to £500 so all is well, the worldwide postage I quoted will just cover it."Reaching out to touch the stars dont forget the flowers at your feet".0
