Hi guys, I am just checking in for some money saving motivation. I have been busy too "in the real world" and am trying to spend less time lurking and messing about online and actually getting things done and my life in order, especially as my health is showing some signs of improvement now.
I have spent a lot of the weekend spring cleaning (yes, I know I am a bit "fashionably late"), not necessarily money saving, but I have
- hired a rug doctor and steam cleaned all my carpets, have come up like new (saved money as had some carpet shampoo left from last time)
- done all the laundry
- done shopping
- started with washing the curtains
- took some bags to charity shop last week and am in process of sorting some more stuff
I have also
- resisted temptation to buy take away last night, started eating food I had in then decided I wasnt even really that hungry (so a plus on my weight loss front too)
- will resist temptation and only eat food I have in today too, as I have been shopping so no excuse
- do a major clean of the bedrooms while DS is still out with his dad, sort through wardrobes, drawers etc
- I do need to ebay but have been saying this for weeks now, but need to get my bum in gear
- if I have time I will go for a swim, or at least a walk later

Hello all,
And well done everyone!!!!
I have had lovely weekend with BF. DD's dad has just been the usual pest so I have decided to tell him to sod off until DD is big enough to decide for herself. After BF left ex was knocking my door after 9pm. Surely he knows that DD is in bed so I didn't open the door. He has done 5 hour round trip just to deliver strawberries to his daughter? I don't think so...
Anyway this weekend I have:
- Scratchies
- Curly
- Used Curly win to order some DVDs from Amazon that I have wanted for a long time
- Cashback bingo
- Meals from menu plan (the carrot soup was delicious and a big hit, Sat supper: potato bake with mince and today supper pasta bake with hod dog sausages and veggies)
- Except BF bought us lunch and icecreams today when we were using our passes in Longleat
- HC done and dried"Everything will be alright in the end. If it's not alright, it's not the end."

Good morning everyone,
Why is it that I cannot wake up during the week but am awake at 6.10 on a Sunday:rolleyes:? I guess I'll use this a reason to do a few things and have longer to myself today.
My list of jobs to do:- [STRIKE]Go for a walk - 30 mins[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]Finish Work Project 1[/STRIKE]
- Work Project 2
- [STRIKE]Job Application[/STRIKE] It's taken me 3 hours and I am BOILING now with the laptop on my lap!
- Vacuum hall and stairs
- [STRIKE]Clean bathroom[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]Clean kitchen[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]30 mins decluttering[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]Visit mum and dad[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]make lunch for tomorrow[/STRIKE]
- Do some filing
- Ironing
- Possible HC load if there is enough
- [STRIKE]scratchcards[/STRIKE] - 2 x 10p.
I was REALLY foolish today. I was getting a bit peeved with the red lipsticked fish and thought I'd play a game or two of black jack!!! A long story later - I had gone from £7 to 50p:eek::eek::eek:. I then deposited another £10 to play to try and recoup my money. Thankfully, I managed to get to £9.50 (on top of the £10 deposit). Moral of the story - don't be so blooming impatient!
Waving to everyone. Am hot and bothered and ready for bed!
