Yesterday turned out to be very moneysaving - unplanned but cheap:
Started to go into town with oh, but didn't make it past the corner as he was in a 'pick a row' mood - when, 400 metres up the road he actually stopped the car in order to prove he was right (dispute about whether the sun roof was open or not), I decided that I'd rather spend my Saturday morning doing something nice, so simply got out and walked home. We've been married 25 years and it's the first time I've done anything like that. I think he was a bit surprised (!) but I got some productive work stuff done in peace and quiet and saved the money I'd have spent on odds and sods in town!
Then, because I was feeling virtuous (well-ahead with work stuff now!) I spent the rest of the day reading a novel, pottering about in the garden and dozing. I had meant to go into townn later by myself, but just couldn't work up the energy, when I was so chilled at home!
As for himself - he came back from town in a grump after about 2 hours, which I simply ignored and pretended all was sweetness and light; then he spent the afternoon at cricket and came home muuuuuuch later, and in a happier frame of mind. I think the pint or two he'd had after the match may have helped....:rolleyes:Reason for edit? Can spell, can't type!0 -
Lol at grumpy OH's, bet that was a shock to him:D
Just chilling her etoday haven't really decided what to do yet as should have been at the cottage decorating but still no new car so it has thrown my plans out completely. Will have a little potter in the garden and greenhouse but after that not a clue, apart from visiting my parents.
Hope you all have a lovely day xx0 -
